To me it would be if you leak info DURING a military operation that is treason. After it is concluded it would be ok to shine a light on it. IMO "Loose Lips Sink Ships"

We have a fairly robust court and media system in the US. I’m sure if the DoJ wants to pursue it they will. And the media, especially the current media in the US will dissect it throughly. Then the courts and public opinion will weigh in on it.

Surprise this is exactly how our legal and policy system is designed to work.
