We agree on your second statement, but your first is not even close to the real history of this country, I'm sorry. Research the origins of the 13th Amendment and why it's worded the way it is. Research the origins of criminal penalties for "crack" cocaine - a drug used largely by the black population - versus powder cocaine - a drug used primarily by whites. Research the origins of convicted felons losing their right to vote for life, even after being released.

I could go on, but I don't want to overwhelm you. Research those three things - with an open mind - and then come back and tell me there has been no deliberate, systemic racism in America.
Fair enough, and if is attempted again I will stand with you. But is is still just a hypothetical. A hypothetical being used to inflame emotions and fears.

If it raises its ugly head we’ll face it as a nation and muddle through it. And it still wont be an isolated failure. Name a nation or large collective of peoples and cultures that have not give into these behaviors or choices.
I’ve already acknowledged there will likely be overreach from some quarters from the right. Big surprise, shall I list some of the overreaches from the left in the last few years.

My only point it’s not the end of democracy, not the installation of a tyrant. It’s just representative government. How many deeply held beliefs do I or you hold that will be deemed archaic or immoral a hundred years from now?

Not necessary. You already know I think both parties suck, just for different reasons.

THAT is something I agree with you on. However, how many people will also be desperately hanging on to those beliefs a hundred years from now because they fear change?

When the sane adults take charge:

I expect that there will be an immediate cessation of armed conflict just like in President Trump's last term and when President Reagan was the Commander in Chief. The bad actors of the world know that their crap will not be tolerated.

I fully expect the left to make as much trouble as possible, burnings, lootings, shootings, and every other manner of conflict here at home along with a constant dose of insane propaganda from the MSM and a daily bitch session from the usual leftist loons.

Soros-funded insanity will escalate in a vain attempt to protect his 5th column of pedophiles, Marxist-Commie-Pukes, traitors, conspirators, coconspirators, and murderers. All of them are on their way to certain justice for their crimes, title 18 is a bitch.

Fortunately, those nasty little Antifa weasels will receive the appropriate medicine for what ails them. It's going to be very different this time out.

The rat trap was set several years ago, and the rats are panicking. Several of the main players have already fled the country, but they can't hide forever.

They have tried everything in the book and then some to derail his Presidency and his return for a second term, not so that they can make America great, but to save their own necks.

Most people will be shocked to the core when the truth comes out. I believe this is the end of the Democrat party as we know it.

The rest of us will enjoy lower prices on everything, a secure border, security, and prosperity.

It was a selfish point I was making regarding “who” was perpetuating organized racial segregation and suppression.

I would hope by now you know I understand and agree with you on the failings of both parties.

I suppose I am being an optimist I’m believing the coalition Trump has brought together hopefully will be marginally different. We’re never going to have a perfect leader, even in the eyes of their supporters.
The people around him are certainly more liberal than the old Republican Party. Their focus is on constitutional powers and who will be making the laws and regulations based more on constitutional authority. Rather than ideology. But we’ll see.

I have consistently been advocating for a more limited and less intrusive federal gov both domestically and internationally. I see Trump future admin as a chance at that.
But ultimately your correct things could go sideways and I will stand with you in opposing them if they do.

What is this post in response to, is this saying this is intrusive as federal law? Is Jim Crow are you wanting states to be able to pass those again?

@william
Well William can respond for himself of course and am sure he will.
I read them purely as informative, historical background.
About 1/2 of William’s post are either new military tech or background post.

Now for the snarky part of my reply.
If Jim Crow laws are ever revived it will again come democrats who used them for almost a century to marginalize blacks.

Yeah my snark is not completely germane to the issue. I’m just sick of claims of racism, homophobia and sexism being so loosely employed to criticize Trump conservatives.

I just don't understand the postings of what he posted and the topic. I don't know if my English comprehension is bad, of it's the connection between subject and supporting post.

Sorry, I should have explained my posts. If you look through this thread, you'll see the discussion was on racism in America and what I posted was just some reference material people could read if they chose too. That's all. I realize the discussion veered away from

"Will the world be more or less dangerous under a Trump Presidency."

Well considering war with Iran is likely under Trump, this alone would constitute his term being more dangerous. Trump’s buddy Netanyahu is going to do everything in his power to drag us in under Biden so that they can blame the democrats for getting us into yet another endless war and take our focus off Ukraine. Going to be fun. So glad I decided not to pursue a family of my own.

What exactly in his first term led you to foresee a was with iran. Or as opposed to Israel being at war with Iran and its proxies for a full year.

He didn’t make war with Iran during his last term. He didn’t deliver pallets of linen either. Whats makes you feel there will be a war twixt Iran and the USA? (I’m still betting on Israel fighting Iran)

Maybe better to exclude Americans from this poll. I'll bet a pack of cigarettes and some ammo that anyone who voted for trump answered "The world will be safer" and that anyone who didn't vote for Trump answered "The world will be more dangerous". Hell I'll bet a second pack of cigarettes..

Some Americans did not vote for Trump but did say "no difference"...
