This is more than likely coincidental and nothing to be concerned with. There is the historical act of consulates in adversarial nations burning docs prior to engaging in war.
I suppose the thing to do is to just keep an eye out for similar activities at other Chinese consulates in the next day or so. As well as other warning signs to escalation of hostilities.
The could very honestly just be burning old doc which have reached their dispose on date.
