A radioactive cloud caused by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is a declaration of war
because
NATO has to act when members countries become contaminated.
I don't know about that. Since it was unintentional (that is how they would read it), does this mean it was an attack? Or collateral damage that doesn't require a response.

I think, given NATO's aversion to challenging Russia directly, they won't respond militarily to a radioactive cloud.

That's a big maybe or assumption for me. 50/50 in my eyes of it sliding off or some type of involvement from NATO. Not necessarily troops or a no fly zone. But something,... who knows there are many things NATO could do short of pushing nuclear threshold.

" - real-question WHY it was necessary for Ukraine to have "high-threat pathogens."
That is basic research and tracking of pathogens.
You can’t track or successfully control pathogens with out collecting them and studying them.
The WHO does it and any nation that has a developed science and medical system tracks and monitors pathogens. That’s not some conspiracy theory that’s basic scientific research!!

I agree. But a nation that is barely 30 years in its freedom, like the former Ukraine SSR, surely had priorities for its nation other than biological labs (Level 2?), that has required WHO warning them over "high-threat pathogens." If I am reinventing my nation as different from the former Soviet state, I would have been more cautious. Not a "conspiracy theory" to point that out. Surely with DTRA and everyone else helping Ukraine, they could have been more circumspect on this and whatever was needed for health, was only needed in one central lab... not "labs."

That’s opinion And how do you know this.
More than anything until there’s some proof of bio labs it’s just propaganda that I do t care about.

I'm unsure how true this report is given that the Daily Mail is well known in the UK as prone to exaggeration but this still concerned me, so I thought I would share it with you
Daily Mail: Double danger at Chernobyl: Ukrainian hostage's daughter warns plant is held by Russians who have 'NO CLUE about nuclear security protocols' - as Kyiv intelligence claims Putin's forces will fake a terror attack at the site and try to blackmail the world.

Here is a very good explaination of the topic and why this is serious stuff.
Ukrainian regulators from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine said March 9 that there was only enough fuel to last 48 hours. Petro Kotin, head of Energoatom, the state-owned enterprise that runs the country’s other 15 reactors, said that “at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the critical temperature can be reached in seven days if the generators are shut down.”
In that scenario, it’s possible for water in the pools to evaporate and the cladding on the spent fuel rods could be exposed to the air and catch fire.

U.S. experts caution that reactors that are operating now, such as the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, carry much greater risks because they run at higher temperatures.

I'm counting backwards the time from now, in Ukraine it is March 12, the 48 hours are over since yesterday.
There are now 6 days left to restore the power.

This is actually what people on the ground were reporting on Fox News yesterday.

“Ukrainian hostage's daughter warns plant is held by Russians who have 'NO CLUE about nuclear security protocols' -“

So, the IAEA says everything is OK? Question--how in the hell do they know that when they are not in there, on the scene because there is still fighting going on in the area??? And, since the monitors are off line??? There's no way in hell that they know anything at all. Don't fall for the lies. Just use common sense.
Every single source you listed there has a reputation for sensationalist clickbait headlines. I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm saying those sources do not really support your argument.

Most likely someone would at least activate Article 4 and we would go from there.

Overblown in media, people see “Chernobyl” in headlines and freak out.
Chernobyl has three offsite power supplies, local reports indicate they’ve only lost one. EVEN IF those reports are wrong and all three are down, they have another backup of diesel generators that can run for 7 days. After that, they have mobile diesel generators that can keep things going.
The spent fuel in Chernobyl is decades old, so it’s not in a hyper-delicate state that has to be actively cooled lest a runaway explosion happen.
Unfortunately, the generators have already ran out of gas few days ago. Theres no reactor "GoInG tO bLoW uP" cause the only things they got cooling are the spent fuel rods. They have over 21,000 fuel rods (spent obviously) in the facility. once the water evaporates. There will be leaks imminent but not to cause a meltdown. Chernobyl's radiation censors have been offline for several days.

Have you seen anything new on this in the last day or two?

No information is coming out that can be validated as the Russians are in control of the facility. They will not be honest about any scenario so we can only hope they got it under control.

Only see it unfolding two ways. One, we will be hearing about a nuclear emergency in a few days. Two, if not this will slowly fade away and everyone will forget about it because the Russians didn't screw the pooch. Hope it isn't the latter.

Well, couple hours before the generatprs turned off, there was a repair team asking russia if they could get the power back on but all the power is out in Chernobyl

Again I wouldn't believe anything until the clock runs out for those fuel pools in a matter of days. If nothing happens then Putin didn't royally fork up and will be nothing to worry about.
