Russia's objective in Ukraine is what is possible to achieve. The military must have informed Putin that it is impossible to conquer everything, so he must have said he wants half. As no general would have the courage to say that it is not possible either, they will try.

Half this year and half next time? Even Old Yeller had to be put down. It appears that Putin has Parkinson's' Dementia the way he acts and walks.

Putin is certainly suffering from some health problem, which could be affecting him mentally. It is possible to notice that he lost muscle mass, he is no longer able to do the exercises. He also has makeup use. What further reinforces the possibility of a mental problem is his speeches, which seem completely disconnected from reality. Macron would have said that Putin seems to be someone else, different from what he knew, precisely because of this disconnect, he repeats the same madness in phone calls with Western leaders.
 
I'm starting to get the feeling that if nuclear weapons are to be used here, they would have been by now. I can't rule it out because Putin is absolutely insane, but it feels less likely now.

The nuclear risk only ends when a peace agreement is signed. But when you read that the German government is going to buy the Arrow 3, it's proof how the risk of nuclear attacks has grown.
 
Russia has been attacking many fuel depots in Ukraine. A sign that there is growing Russian concern about the mobility of the Ukrainian army.

Ukraine has alot of soviet era tanks, more than any other country in the region combined with western antitank weapons this is or was very lethal for the Russian army but the ukrainians are running out of tanks now.

Yes they will be buying and installing them all across NATO’s eastern flank and likely the Baltic’s.
And who’s to fault them we’ve just watched Russia pulverize European cities.

Regular nato air sorties all along his west flank, regular and more frequent nato training exercises. Larger US garrison in Eastern Europe of armor and artillery battalions.

Make no mistake I do not want this. I do not celebrate this military buildup. It will just be in some form or the other a natural byproduct of this war.
More nations will join nato and Europe will be facing expanding military budgets.

Reports of Ukrainian soldiers or militia disabling Russian soldiers by shooting them in the legs.
I put it in discussion because it’s going to be a lightening rod for discussion.
It’s not been verified and should be investigated.
Just as the bus loads of people who’ve been taken to Russia from Mariupol.

Videos could be staged or fake but no way to know and I’m applying the 72 hour rule.

People as well as I may disagree with Russia’s actions, but when you stoop to the same low as your enemy, you are no better, and the message and cause you fight for gets lost in the fog. POW’s shouldn’t be treated this way. This isn’t the freaking dark ages.

72 hour rule. Hope this is fake. Otherwise this whole thing is a cluster of epic proportions. God I hate war.

Yes and yes and it could be isolated and a lot will depend on how the government responds.
Those supposed Ukraine solders could have been coming out of some really bad shit and had no leadership. Jacked up pissed off and out for blood.
I wont judge a nation by the actions of a few.
It could have been separatist shooting Ukrainian soldiers. I have no proof of that but I have full confidence anything’s possible.
We saw the same thing on a industrial scale in Serbia and Syria Libya.
The rules of war are not the same world wide. Rules of war are a construct of western nations we try to hold to.
The navy tried to send a Seal to prison for taking photos dead insurgents-good grief.

Ukraine promises "immediate investigation" after video surfaces of soldiers shooting Russian prisoners​

Video has surfaced showing what appear to be Ukrainian soldiers shooting men who are apparently Russian prisoners in the knees during an operation in the Kharkiv region.
On the almost six-minute-long video, the Ukrainian soldiers are heard saying they have captured a Russian reconnaissance group operating from Olkhovka, a settlement in Kharkiv roughly 20 miles from the Russian border.
Asked about the video, a senior presidential advisor, Oleksiy Arestovych, said in an interview posted on YouTube Sunday: "The government is taking this very seriously, and there will be an immediate investigation. We are a European army, and we do not mock our prisoners. If this turns out to be real, this is absolutely unacceptable behavior."

I’ll mention this, I am not an expert but I saw a Twitter post about damage caused from what is likely a 7.62 round. I remember the video of the Rittenhouse case. When the one guy was shot at about 10 foot part of his arm practically exploded. That was a 5.66 a 7.62 will do even worse damage that I do know. Also for a large muscle injury I would think there would be a lot more blood on the pavement than what is shown.

I’ll leave that assessment there because I am no expert on it, only raising the possibility
 
The withdraw of Russian troops from the North to Belarus and the contemporaneous transport of missiles toward the south of Belarus, could be preparatory for an heavy missils bombing?

Not surprising that they are committing war crimes. Our western governments have been committing thier own long enough. The whole Russia commiting war crimes was the most hilarious thing about this war because of the sheer irony and hypocrisy of it all. Let's say for moment this incident actually gets traction and more people know about it; would our governments do anything to show thier disapproval other than a strongly worded letter? It's a big sick joke of rules for us and rules for them.

Apparently there was also a Ukrainian doctor "ordering" to castrate russian soldiers. Seems a bit far fetched that this would be carried out but even saying it crosses a line.
