I just hope it sustains and grows this time.
Otherwise I really have no hope. Whats left to fear? If you are risking going to war? Flee Russia like cowards? I see videos of Russian police surrounded by protesters while roughing someone up. Nobody can pick up a rock? You should be able to break through your fear when you realize YOU might go to WAR. Why would they send you to war if you and others like you couldn't topple governments?

These protests give me some hope but they are small. All the young men who are usually among the most likely group to mount a revolution, they are fleeing instead! I can't blame them totally, but they are Russia's only hope! You are less likely to die protesting or even rioting, police have limited resources contrary to the belief of Russians! (and especially in Russia) Don't you want your friends who can't just leave to avoid war too? Want your family to live free? Want to see Russia become a better place?

The thing about revolution, sometimes it's good, like Honecker getting ousted.
But it can be from the fire, into the fireplace (Think Tsar to Bolsheviks).

The worst thing is you never know until the dust settles.

Yea Putins predecessor is just as bad if not worse. But at least he is willing to work with the West and likly halts the Ukraine war.

Should of been more clear. Putins predecessor would be bad for the Russian people if not worse then Putin. But at least like I said he knows how geopolitics work (unlike Putin) and would end the Ukraine war and set communication with the West again.

Yes, indeed. The classic problem. What system do you replace the broken one with? Is it all that better. Or is it just that your 25% rioted the most?
Russian's may not want to try the classic capitalist democracy again. It has failed them (to them) for 30 years. Can they replace it with a better system? What system is there to try?
