Is this the same area that’s had a US helicopter circling the last week?
No such thing as "fully under control".
Well this incident has generously helped my US energy investments. But just because this benefits the US does not mean we did it.I bet it was the US, Fuck your pipeline Russia! The USA and Canada can supply NA and EU with LPG. In 2020, almost three-quarters of the extra-EU crude oil imports came from Russia (29 %), the United States (9 %), Norway (8 %), Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom (both 7 %) as well as Kazakhstan and Nigeria (both 6 %). A similar analysis shows that over three-quarters of the EU's imports of natural gas came from Russia (43 %), Norway (21 %), Algeria (8 %), and Qatar (5 %). In comparison, more than half of solid fossil fuel (mostly coal) imports originated from Russia (54 %), followed by the United States (16 %) and Australia (14 %).
In 2020, more than 80 % of energy imports were petroleum products in Cyprus, Malta, Greece, and Sweden and more than a third was natural gas in Hungary, Austria, and Italy. Nearly 15 % of energy imports were solid fuels in Slovakia, Poland, and Czechia.
Not quite. The pipeline damage occurred 300 km to the west of this flight path. Still, I do recall seeing this piece of information and thinking it's somewhat unusual (NATO flies regular patrols over the Baltic and around Kaliningrad using all kinds of sigint a/c, but it's the first I've heard of a chopper being used).
Well helicopters can be a lot closer to the waters surface then a jet. Makes sense if they need extreme detail only capable of being quite literally directly over the waters surface.but it's the first I've heard of a chopper being used).
Sikorski is, generally speaking, a sane and clear-eyed guy (he's also the husband of Anne Applebaum - a name that probably rings a bell to some), but this is uncharacteristically frivolous of him.
It just gets curiouser and curioserSikorski is, generally speaking, a sane and clear-eyed guy (he's also the husband of Anne Applebaum - a name that probably rings a bell to some), but this is uncharacteristically frivolous of him.
Clearly someone sent someone a message here, but the list of possible someones is quite long, so I wouldn't be jumping to conclusions if I were him.
...and Zakharova has already picked up on this.
Thank you for the clarification! Not quite. The pipeline damage occurred 300 km to the west of this flight path. Except the pipeline was already practically shut down. And Russia has no problem turning off its taps. Why would they destroy what could still be used in the future?Well this incident has generously helped my US energy investments. But just because this benefits the US does not mean we did it.
Not saying this because I'm America but on a purely logical level IF THIS WAS sabotage then it would of been Russia. As winter is nearing and best way to make EU suffer would to do exactly this.
Let's say the US wanted to blow it up with a helicopter:Well helicopters can be a lot closer to the waters surface then a jet. Makes sense if they need extreme detail only capable of being quite literally directly over the waters surface.
I don't think you understood my several recent posts. I said the US didn't do it. I said that in regards to detection tech. May work better closer to water surface. Why helicopters would be used for detail tracking vs jets which cannot be that close to the surface of water.Let's say the US wanted to blow it up with a helicopter:
why would they leave the transponder on so it can be tracked by people on the internet?
chopper dropping sonar buoys as they had detected something? A Russian submersible? Not quite. The pipeline damage occurred 300 km to the west of this flight path. On to something with that thought perhaps.chopper dropping sonar buoys as they had detected something? A Russian submersible?
I certainly don't believe the Russians did it.@DarkNoon I honestly think we did it.
Not going to bother as I don't have a tinfoil hat on nor do I digest Russian propaganda from letting them shit in my mouth.Well this incident has generously helped my US energy investments. But just because this benefits the US does not mean we did it.

But realistically this was likly a accidental disaster.
