This is typical Russian irony.
The Russians have employed depleted uranium munitions in every tank model from the T-60 to the T-90.

When you think about it in the context of time and individual national experience. This is a really big and ominous event.
B-52 making a fly by out of the clouds over the capital of Estonia on their Independence Day. Just over a hundred miles from Russian frontier.

The Cold War is officially hot again.
Just make sure you don’t fall to the same fear that was clamored about when Reagan stood up against the USSR then. We’re all going to die in a nuclear war and winter.

Hoping it will go away wanting a change in policy will not make it go away.
It’s not going away and unfortunately has to be confronted. Just as it was then.

Flying 50 year-old bombers near enemy airspace is not really that ominous. Everyone knows that bombers are just the clean-up crews sent in to destroy population centers after all the force/counterforce targets have already been destroyed by missiles. So, it's really just a dog and pony show.

That is correct as a practical matter I agree.

Just looking at it from a symbolic perspective given the current situation.
Seeing a buffalo drop out of the clouds over Talliana Estonia for a flyby was kinda creepy.
Strategically it’s a non starter I know.

I thought the Buffs were standoff cruise missile platforms and the F35s, B2s and the new B21s were the penetrators?

That is one possible function for B-52s, probably even the most likely. They are extremely versatile aircraft.

They can carry up to 20 JASSM-XR cruise missiles with a range of 1000 miles gps sub-sonic. 1000 warhead and ground penetrating war head as well.

if we use Official documents, its still theirs right? just because its occupied by Russia does not mean its Russias ? Would it automatically trigger article 5? ( could also be a city or a smaller strip of land I guess to block Russian advance, maybe even more funny if they lease all of the occupied provinces to the USA for 50 years )
