I actually would argue that Nato has done a tremendous job dealing with this crisis, with the lack of readiness supplied by past leaders (Trump, Merkel, to name a few.) I mean, Ukraine is still 3/4 intact more than a year after the invasion, WW3 hasn't started yet to some peoples disappointment, and Ukraine is slowly making gains in their counter offensive. Things are stabilized, wobbly but stabilized enough, lol.

My point was we have been entirely reactionary in our lethal aid response since feb or 2022. New weapons armor tanks jets what ever. They get rumored or requested and immediately the Biden admin or Germany say wow now wait a minute. Let’s think about this.
You can like it or hate it but these are the facts!I’m sorry but Biden cut the proposed Trump administration lethal aid budget twice in 2021 leading up to the war to try and appease Putin. He actually suspended Javelin missiles to Ukraine for almost 6 of 12 months in 2021.
Trump released lethal aid to Ukraine in 2017 even though a bi-congress approved it in 2015. The Obama admin set on it after the annexation of Crimea the rest of his second term.

In 2022 after a year of Biden holds and cuts to lethal aid to Ukraine Russia decided it was a good time to take the rest of it.
Could Trump have done things differently? Maybe he could have but the facts are it was under a weak Obama and Biden Presidency Russia has tried two land grabs on Ukraine.
I’m not trying to pick a fight but it was two weak appeasing presidents that gave Putin the impression Ukraine was up for grabs militarily in the first place.
So put the blame on an overall weak and indecisive American Foreign Policy but don’t foist this off on a Trump administration failure alone.
