***EXCERPT***
A pediatric patient who received care for a life-threatening illness in the United States was aboard the Learjet 55 that crashed in Philadelphia, according to Shai Gold, spokesman for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.

The girl, one of six people on the flight, was returing to Tijuana, Mexico. The others on the plane included her mother, a pilot, a copilot, a doctor and a paramedic, Gold said. Jet Rescue Air Ambulance does not believe anyone on the plane survived the crash.

Mayor of Philadelphia:
"This is still an active scene under investigation.

I want to say thank you to our first responders and local, state and federal partners who are working vigorously to make public safety and health a first priority here in our City.

We will have further briefings as more information becomes available."

If this belongs somewhere else, I understand. But the ONE thing the media isn’t talking about here, is the possibility the plane could have been hacked. Everything from a medical event, to a massive failure of control surfaces is being considered.

What I do know -

The wings were intact. Anti-collision lights were on. Degree of impact was about a 45-50 degree angle. The plane was also likely going down under full power, and it descended from 1650 feet down to 0 in approximately 6 seconds. The last 3 seconds being 1250 feet approx. Per tracking data. The plane also has a Mexican registration.

The only thing that can take a plane down that rapidly, is a direct input at the stick from the pilot, a set of flaps getting stuck, or an explosion onboard of perhaps an oxygen tank, maybe even a small bomb smuggled onboard. An engine failure would not result in that kind of crash and descent. Those learjets are nimble. We also did not see reduced speed, or an attempt for the pilot to gain altitude.

Something else to think about geopolitically… the 25% Mexico tariffs take effect in one hour, and the rhetoric between the Trump administration and the cartel is heating up.

It’s likely established at this point that the Cartel has the ability to hack airplanes. That kind of money allows access to lots and lots of toys and key personnel. What if… just what if… this was a message? After all, the United States government would never tell us an airplane can be hacked. No one would ever fly again…

My heart goes out to that little girl… heartbroken over it. I just pray she wasn’t a pawn in someone’s sick game.

We won’t know until they find the black box, and/or reconstruct that plane what happened to the control surfaces.

Edit - For the record, I am approximately 85% sure it was likely a catastrophic loss of control due to an explosion onboard. The wings were intact, and chatter about it being on fire in the way down.

I believe from the available data’s that a catastrophic loss of flight controls or deliberate input caused the plane to crash. I placed being on fire internally and/or deliberately causing the plane to crash in that category.

The plane was largely intact, and the impact angle and rate of descent was completely beyond normal operations.

Now crawling even further out onto the skinny branches I think the plane was aimed for the vicinity of that intersection or highway Boulevard. I guess is extremely noticeable from the air. It would look like the best place to put down as opposed to parking in
a building.

I think after the plane was turned and lined up something caused it to nose down and accelerate. If there were more people on board, I would be looking at a hijacker or pilot suicide flight. With so few people on board I’m going with bomb.

Although, in my gut, It really looks deliberate. That was my initial reaction and I didn’t even know the jaw dropping rate of descent at that time. It probably isn’t but the odds of it smacking down under control at that rate of descent with the wings still on (not ripping the wings off because of uncoordinated flight) seems like a remarkably narrow set of events to take place.

It almost appears from the arc it’s inverted, but that’s a total amateur observation

I agree with that. Massive catastrophic loss of control surfaces. That much is probably certain.

The means of the loss, to be determined.

🚨 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AUDIO FROM PHILADELPHIA PLANE CRASH:
Recently released ATC audio from Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) captures the moments controllers tried to reach the Learjet 55, only to realize the aircraft was lost.

The jet crashed shortly after takeoff, with multiple fatalities reported.

Authorities, including the FAA and NTSB, are investigating as emergency crews continue operations at the crash site.

This tape was altered/edited beyond simple time constraints.
I doubt its veracity in full.

My 2¢ YMMV but I don’t know how. It’s obviously not correct several times. The calls, or at least the controllers seem correct just missing parts, hence edited. You don’t have to be a Commercial Instrument Pilot to tell this (but it helps) any enthusiast that listens to approach control on a scanner or on their computer could pick up on it. It’s not subtle. It’s blindingly obvious.

It's the same tape they rolled on NBC news live. Controller asking twice, and no response from the angle flight. But it is probably edited as it's very short.

I’m not sure it’s nefarious, but it’s presented as a “tape of events” not snippets shoved together with “some editing of content “

After the tower hands off to Rapcon / departure the pilot switches frequencies occasionally they go to the wrong freak and then come back to Tower to reconfirm or something. I did that a lot, forget to switch or double push and you’re still talking to tower. In any case it’s gonna take a minute or two before approach sees that he doesn’t have an expected contact on a strip.

Once that happens, he’s gonna make a few calls and if aircraft doesn’t answer, he will call tower on a phone. After a quick back-and-forth, tower will jump on the freak and try to remind you to switch frequencies.

All this doesn’t take place in a few seconds or even a minute. This is probably a good three or four minutes on a normal day before they catch you missing. Many times you’re on climb out you’re doing housekeeping in the cockpit before you switch because communicating always comes last.
