There is, literally, no scenario in today's world where China attacks Australia, they have absolutely nothing to gain from it. They gain far, far, more having Australia as a friendly(ish) trading partner than they do as an occupying forces (which would be logistically impossible for a multitude of reasons).

The only people who postulate that it might happen are Americans, as part of the ant-China narrative. It is absolutrely laughable.

Australia’s Navy and Air Force are monitoring Chinese warships spotted about 300km from Sydney on Thursday, as Beijing sends a strong message.

The three Chinese navy ships have been in Australia’s vicinity since last week when they were first seen in waters off the northeast.

On Tuesday last week, a Chinese J-16 jet dropped flares within 30 meters of an Australian P-8A Poseidon when it was flying over the South China Sea during daylight.

Australian officials raised concerns with Beijing, labelling the conduct “unsafe and unprofessional”.

The Chinese military was clearly incentivizing their pilots and captains to be aggressive.

“It is a matter of time before unfortunately, we have some sort of incident … where there is a significant injury or potential loss of life.”

This is the challenge of wise foreign policy and in this regard President Harry Truman got it right but I cannot help but wonder how the decision weighed on his conscious and life after that. Would be a tough decision that I would never like having to have made and would not wish it on anyone. Decide which was the least worst option.

Truman was the man! He ended a horrific slaughter and then saw the unanticipated damage (radiation obviously) and chose wisely not to use them again.

We paid a horrible price for those principles in Korea. You won’t a convince Chosin vet (or find one at this point) but it was the right thing IMO. Remarkably sane minds opinions vary.

I wrote no such thing. The thread was started days ago. I merely pointed out the the TEAM USA FANS IN BOSTON simply showed extreme respect for the Canadian anthem by standing and not booing.
