Fact check: nearly 70 percent of US money for Ukraine actually went to US defense industry to replenish the stocks of OLD stuff that went to Ukraine to use.
Much of which we would have paid to destroy as their lifespan expired.
All aid to Ukraine was not free. It was loaned set to be paid back much like your reference to UK & WWII. Ontop of that well over 70% of manufacturing or weapons for Ukraine happened inside the US. While at same time making money off old hardware we where going to destroy anyways! Essentially paying somewhat for our upgrades, while knocking down Russia every step of the way! Was a win win. GOP are blind as hell and have been totally infiltrated by Russian appeasement propoganda. Very shrill, mind boggling.
This right here is the best systematic and real world defense for war profiteering via the military industrial complex.

“How about let’s extend the hot mess stalemated war between Russia and Ukraine”
“That’s a great idea, how much do you think we could rotate out and get orders to replenish stocks. Because Americans “need” jobs and bonus’s will be great”
You’re actually defending not trying to negotiate a peace deal because the US is benefiting from military weapons sales.
Might want to rethink actively not using jobs at home, inventory management, and manufacturing growth as examples of why

If their is no viable plan to win this MF, then it’s time to look for resolutions.
There has been no plan for 3 years.
We’ve trickle fed weapons systems to Ukraine.
Seemingly cut off elint as well when too many Russian generals kept dying.
The sanctions especially on the oil where a joke, which were and are the economic engine to Russia staying afloat.
But could we open up our hydrocarbon wells to help our allies and our own citizens. While at the same time depress the price of oil and further limiting further whatever profit Russia might be getting out. Another perfect example of why we never had a systematic plan to help Ukraine win.
So harp all you want about Trump, this and that. Call us all unpatriotic fools, what ever.
No one wanted to win, they thought they could wage another war of attrition and damage Russia. Replace a few war materials and sell a few.
There has been no plan to win, save “fuck Russia” and bolster the military industrial complex. That’s your plan!
I don’t care what Trump does or doesn’t do to end this war.
Because it was lost at the beginning of winner 2023 when the battle lines became a stalemated.
