Find me a source that doesn’t end in .ru
Yeaaa... you quoted me before editing. Said can't find much outside of this and idk if people are using this as original source or?... echoing off each other from still a undetermined source other then the one I provided above from .ru lol

There are no specifics regarding the ongoing negotiations with Ukraine over co-development of mineral mining in Ukraine. They are still talking. Special envoy to the President Steve Whitlock said that there progressing and should see a deal.

Something to think about this shared mineral resource arrangement. It will be a shared interest between the US and Ukraine. Some US employees and US owned mining equipment possible. Inherent in that agreement would be that the US’s significant financial interest in Ukraines future territorial security. And they we would expect Ukraines boarders to be respected.

As far as President Trump making this part of the terms it achieves two aims. Creates a valid expectation to protect our interest in the future of Ukraine. And two it will recover some of the money we have used to help them.
The EU and individual nations are also treating the military aid they are sending to Ukraine as loans till now the US has not.

So nothing about protecting Ukraine. It's just the US demanding payment for reconstruction.

Pretty one-sided.
It’s an interesting read not a lot of vagaries. It’s interesting that it reiterates the key components of the Budapest Memorandum. Specifically Ukraines relinquishing of their nuclear arsenal.

It’s an agreement that Yes we can profit from. But it’s also a commitment to work directly with Ukraine to begin rebuilding their infrastructure and develop potential mineral resources.

My thoughts are this is only an economic and development agreement. Not part of the peace negotiations. It’s is said that Putin has all the cards right now, this may be true. I could just be full or crap here, but if negotiations begin and the Ukraine and the US have already inked a deal which is giving the US economic interest in Ukraine. That’s a pretty big wild card for Ukraine to be holding.
We’ve used fiscal sanctions and weapons to stop or discourage Putin.
This is using economic investment and interest to influence the war.
This is likely way to much assuming from me but it their to be interpreted.
It in effect makes Ukraines future our business and it’s their staring Putin in the face.

Today would be a great day for the Europeans to seize Russia's $300 billion sitting in European banks. It's a no-brainer. There is no scenario in which that money will every go back to Russia. So seize it now. Give it to Ukraine so they can buy new weapons.

Good Lord you really do want this war to continue forever. Is it your hatred of Putin or Trump that drives this rabid insistence.

There was not before or now going to be some overwhelming victory which led to Ukraine recovering all of its lost territories. Nor the collapse of of Putin’s gov. That was never going to happen.
If you thought that I’m sorry.
And no you cannot claim now any failure to achieve this goal is Trumps fault. It was never part or the actions or plans of the last administration.
Biden before the war even remarked the Russian seizing a little land was not a red line. Or how all the US and EU leaders were offering Zelinski sanctuary, defacto giving all of Ukraine to Russia.
This was always going to grind down to a war of attrition, well here we are.

want this war to continue forever.
No, I have principles, democratic ideals, and have not been entirely consumed by Russian appeasement propoganda unlike a lot of the far right, as many clearly keep spelling out. Truly unpatriotic. Definitely not American first, it's Russia first.

Thankfully the right only has less then two years to ruin this country, her allies, and aid & ebbed Russia before the right can be stopped in this ludacris capitulation to Russia. Hopefully it won't be to late by then and have not given everything Russia has ever wanted.

"Ware them down." russia is a superpower, Ukraine is not. What is there, like 11 time zones in russia. You have to be realistic about it.

Timezones aren't exactly indicative of a superpower even though they imply that a country managing to be that big holding together is a superpower.

Remember this is who the GOP want to help and work with. 👆👀
Before anyone comes with comments about grenade dropping, Ukraine have accepted surrenders from soldiers via drone if they can head to the Ukrainian trenches in a a safe way without endangering any of the Ukrainians. How morally constructive is it to leave someone wounded on the battlefield (often quite gravely) with no way of self-treatment and no way of getting help until they bleed out in agony? It's not like the UDF want to risk their lives saving a Russian soldier having to cross open ground in order to save them.

Macron and Trump approaching agreed upon path forward to ending the war. Including at least French and British troops presence in Ukraine. Macron is asking for American logistical and security support in future defense of Ukraine.
British PM and Zelinski both planning trips to Washington to go over future agreements and security measures.

Seems Washington has not abandon Europe or Ukraine. Rather he has just maneuvered and altered the landscape for peace negotiations for ending the Ukrainian war and afterwards.

This kinda leaves the new German PM with his premature announcement of moving away from Washington, standing on the curb.

WOW a actual laid out plan to move toward an achievable end, imagine that
Taking that to be too hopeful. Trump will take Putin's bait of a deal with Russia's rare metals instead. Clearly not a coincidence that he announced it while Macron was there. European leaders have to ass-kiss Trump more than Putin. (discussion)

If you propose to be an intelligence specialist you certainly most know there are hoped for goals and real world goals.
Principles are important, but not to the point of mutual suicide or complete failure.

Is Ukraine going to be able to retake all of their lost territory without direct NATO troop intervention.
Sadly likely not.
So this war at some point down the road is going to come to an end.
So what is the strategic ambition to continue the war?

Much is said about the US abandoning its self from foreign affairs recently.
I don’t see that I see US diplomatic representatives traveling and meeting with foreign officials in Europe Saudi Ukraine and now at the WH. The US is driving the ball to outcome to cessation of fighting and building a future. That’s not abandoning, that’s proactive statecraft the finds a workable solution and benefits the US. I say well done.

Oh the horror Trump is negotiating with Putin for US companies to return to Russia to help them exploit their mineral and hydrocarbons. It’s a real shame we’ll have our hand in that cookie jar instead of China.

Not what I exactly meant. Putin wants to use the deal from him to be able to get a more favourable peace for Russia. It's like if the US allowed North Korea to annex or take political control of South Korea after the Korean war since they can sell more resources. Or if it happened with Nazi Germany separate peacing with the US allowing control of northern France and keeping Vichy France because they sit on more resources than France and thus have a right to invade neighbours as long as they can make deals.
