Being an Indian living in the capital I have the most at stake here in this conflict - my city is going to be a target for Pakistani nuclear weapons in the event it escalates to that level. I really do hope I'm wrong in my assessments. Not trying to fearmonger, just trying to be objective.

Always good to be prepared. I think we’re a long way from there yet though and hopefully cooler heads will prevail as they did in 2019.

Your correct about the cost nukes would impose if used.

Nuclear war is crazy, but war in general is crazy. Yet nations go to war all the time.

The existential threat of a particular government leaders being defeated and deposed is also at the forefront of a nations leaders.
The personal fear of survival and remaining in power of their nations is now a key factor in the choice to go nuclear.

I can’t see literally any other country getting involved in this if they go to war.

The only problem is that with the Australian government in caretaker mode it is effectively paralysed. The problem with being in the middle of an election so will be interesting to see the response.

@RiffRaff The quad is a agreement between America, India, Japan and Australia. More to do with Chinese aggression as I understood for indo pacific. So no I don't see this issue being relevant.
