GLOBAL WAR FLASHPOINT — MAY 7, 2025 | 0400Z

We have moved beyond a regional conflict. The world is shifting into war posture.

Celebrations are erupting in parts of India after the strikes on Pakistan. Fireworks are being seen while Pakistan burns.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister has declared India’s “reckless action” has brought both nations—both nuclear-armed—to the brink of major conflict.

VERIFIED footage of a downed Indian fighter jet is circulating. Air-to-air combat is fully confirmed.

Massive artillery exchanges are still ongoing in Jammu and Kashmir. Poonch remains under continuous bombardment.

Air raid sirens are now sounding in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. Pakistan has declared a state of emergency in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.

All schools and educational institutions in Pakistan’s Punjab province are closed. The civilian sector is bracing for escalation.

The UN is issuing warnings that the world “cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan.”

Meanwhile, the global theater is activating:

2x B-52 bombers are currently en route to Diego Garcia.

Another 2x B-52s are following — total: 4 B-52s and 6 B-2 stealth bombers in strike range.

Israel has finalized its war plans to strike Iran. These plans have already been delivered to the White House.

Targets in Iran have been selected. The fuse is lit.

New Iranian Shahed drones are currently flying over the Black Sea, heading toward Odessa — Ukraine is flaring up again.

This is no longer about Kashmir.
This is no longer about retaliation.

We are witnessing the first coordinated moves in a multi-front global war.

We have a name for multi-front global hot wars involving the words biggest powers.

Let the warporn guys have their 36-48 hours celebration - lets see what actually happened when the dust has settled, none of the armies have made any invading moves yet.
Its very possible the dust doesn't really settle as far as India and Pakistan. Fighting has to pause for a bit first id say.

We have multiple flash points all in very high tension.

I do not want this shit at all. But it's been a long time brewing and in the information age and age of social media distortions of reality, it only becomes more likely every day. The world is changing so fast, infinite growth is starting to look questionable, most of the world is divorced from knowing what real war is like. And we may or may not be running full steam ahead at global economic devestation which is known to cause nasty wars

The UK just did a major trade deal with India so I guess I am team India by default? 🤷‍♂️

Seriously though a War with India and Pakistan would be very bad. Nukes aside. Conventionally it would very deadly. Also I am concerned as we have seen with the conflict with Palestine and Israel the rise of sectarian violence in Western nations with Jewish and Muslim backgrounds. If a war broke out between India and Pakistan sectarian violence would spill out to the streets of the UK where we have people with both Indian and Pakistani heritage and this won't be over a game of Cricket.

(Situational Assessment)
This is no longer tit for tat. India has crossed the depth threshold. Deep strikes mean this is now existential for Pakistan military doctrine & saving face. Tanks massing, full LoC engagement, artillery across all sectors is strategic level movement. We’re now well past the 2019 Balakot framework.

Immediate & Imminent Strategic Implications:

  • Pakistan may escalate air operations or prepare short range ballistic strikes to counter the depth of India’s incursion...
  • LoC lighting up in all sectors currently = multi front engagement meaning signaling prelude to larger cross border troop movements imho...
  • Mass mobilization = war posture not “defensive posturing.” Tanks moving into cities means they’re reinforcing for prolonged engagement, not just retaliatory strikes...

I could seriously see sectarian violence erupting in Canada as well. There is a HUGE South Asian population, especially in the Toronto area.

I have pondered this as well- I don't think any true sectarian violence would break out unless things get really out of hand, eg. Pakistan feels threatened enough to use a tactical weapon.
Canada is quite civil and southern Ontario has a strong police presence. Short of something extreme that would warrant pandemonium, I doubt real clashes would occur. At most I expect to see some demonstrations in the next few days in the GTA/Brampton area, but clashes are very unlikely at this point.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see clashes in the UK - we have large Indian and Pakistani populations, many of them in smaller, poorer, towns and cities where they have nothing better to do.

Never gets old...we're constantly on the brink of a world war depending on the routinary warmongers.
Like if it's the first time that India and Pakistan are skirmishing...it's like the 20th time it happens since when Pakistan became a nuclear power.
We'll see.

There is definitely a subset of the population that yearns for a large disruption in the status quo, nuclear world war, etc. Even if it's only a subconscious thing. I think it scratches a certain itch in the mind- the "impending sense of doom" is a very attractive thought when there isn't a lot to lose, or for those with a restless mind where they crave mental stimulation no matter the outcome.

As someone with a lot to lose, with a family and a legacy I hope will live on, I no longer adhere to this mindset.
India and Pakistan have been at odds since partition, but there is no indication yet that either side will resort to breaking the nuclear taboo over it. Every sound mind understands what a nuclear exchange would mean in the modern era, and there are sound minds on both sides.

I think that until either side breaks the taboo, there is no need for concern or warmongering. Both sides have built up a lot of tension, and they need to release that tension in order to move forward. But both sides also know that a nuclear exchange would most likely lead to the end of their respective nations; the self-preservation instinct is powerful, and I don't foresee either India or Pakistan sacrificing their own existence for the sake of a "middle finger", despite the resentment they feel about each other.
