As a follow-up to the incident on Monday, September 22, 2025, where the presence of several unidentified drones was reported over Copenhagen Airport, Copenhagen Police can inform that intense investigation and intelligence work is underway with a view to clarifying who was behind the flight and the motive for it.

This work is carried out in close dialogue with, among others, PET, the Danish Armed Forces and other national and international authorities. There may be information of an intelligence nature that we cannot share with the public for good reasons, and we are currently neither confirming nor denying more specific details of our investigation.

"As part of the investigation, we are interviewing witnesses, collecting physical and electronic evidence, and also obtaining and reviewing surveillance and other video footage. We have already received many recordings of Monday's incident from citizens. These recordings are part of our investigation, as is other data regarding air traffic and the presence of ships in the area from which the drones may have taken off and/or landed," says Poul Kjeldsen, police inspector at Copenhagen Police.

Copenhagen Police have received more than 100 reports about drones and drone-like objects in the past 24 hours. We fully understand that an incident like the one on Monday evening creates insecurity and extra attention to drones and drone-like objects.

It happened various times on the past also in the US.
It never was a real threat.
It will happen again.

This happens on the same day when Denmark banned the burqua.
 
Drone activity closes Aalborg Airport:
⚡️The airspace over Aalborg Airport is closed indefinitely due to drone activity. Martin Svendsen, sales and marketing director at the airport, informed Ritzau on Wednesday evening. My biggest question is how long has this been going on and we haven’t been notified of it? Norway said there air space was violated four times this year and this is the first they said anything. Estonia said the same and Friday was the first time they said anything. Germany has said they’ve had hundreds of drone sightings near military bases this year and just said something after the Poland drones.

"Right now we have drones in the airspace over Aalborg Airport – and that is illegal. If we have the opportunity to take down these drones, that is what we will do," said the police inspector at the press conference. The seriousness of the situation was emphasized by the fact that shortly before midnight the National Police called a doorstep press conference at 00.30 with National Police Chief Thorkild Fogde, who would provide “a status on the incidents of recent days regarding suspicious drone activity,” as it was expressed.

This is a poor interpretation due to a translation error of the words of the Chief of Police.
He didn't say that they are considering to declare a national emergency...
He said they would consider to increase the preparedness level from informative to operative level (from 1 to 2 out 4).

Yes I cannot find any native sources from Denmark saying anything about "emergency" let alone declaring one. Closes thing is Police Officials calling this "dangerous" & "serious". But not a emergency nor declaring one.
 
We also know that the drones are big enough to be spotted depending on the media.
But this means nothing as the drones are flying with their spotting lights on in the middle of the night, which also means, they hardly represent a threat.
We know that the chief of the police, said that these drones do not seem to be commercial because are very easy to identify and counter, but this is also quite imprecise as commercial drones can be easily manipulated to disallow every safety which prevents them from entering into air restricted air space.
Still no precise visual confirmation.

Like I said this whole thing reminds me of the New Jersey drones last year. If they’re Russian they’d have to be launching them from a ship, which I don’t discount the possibility of.
