I am currently going to be doing some testing. You may notice some changes to the forum for a period of time that are temporary.
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your patience.
YesFirst, when you guys enter the site WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING, do you still see the Venezuela opinions thread in the sidebar?
Yes - listed firstNow, if you go to the "whats new" page, did it ALSO disappear?
Yes. However, I did not see a "Delete Politics" button on the What's New page. I went back to the Forums main page to find and click this button. Now, if you scroll down and hit "Delete politics" AND refresh the page, does it disappear?
YesNow, if you go to the "whats new" page, did it ALSO disappear?
Yes. However, I did not see a "Reset" button on the What's New page. I went back to the Forums main page to find and click this button. If you hit reset and refresh the page, does it show back up on both pages??
I am not sure I follow this question. I only see one "Latest Posts" panel on the main Forums page. This is after I have clicked "Reset" and refresh the page.Do you see duplicated latest post sections, one without that thread and just the other, or do you just see 1 on each of those 2 pages?
I figured the main page was all that is neccesary for rn, I think im gonna change things up a little bit but this is a rough proof of concept rn. Do you think I should have the options on both the pages?Yes. However, I did not see a "Reset" button on the What's New page. I went back to the Forums main page to find and click this button.
You got it! There was a possibility that both the non-political and the political Sections would be visible and neither removed.I am not sure I follow this question. I only see one "Latest Posts" panel on the main Forums page. This is after I have clicked "Reset" and refresh the page.
No I do not think it was necessary. I was not sure if you were expecting testers to locate the button on the What's New page or elsewhere, which is why I reported how I got to the button... just in case.Do you think I should have the options on both the pages?
You're most welcome. Hopefully you've found a mechanism with the forum that helps with the politics / no-politics debate!Thank you for your help!
works for me on Firefox, windows and iOS Safari. I dont have an android device to test.FYI - testing conducted on my Windows PC with Chrome browser.
That is true. But the complaint was largely fixed with the return of the scrolling top/bottom arrows which were missing for a bit on my platforms.@Torch I think you use mobile only and I recall you complaining about having to scroll past trending posts in the past.
These functions work on my iPhone, I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but. That is true. But the complaint was largely fixed with the return of the scrolling top/bottom arrows which were missing for a bit on my platforms.
I am 100% behind your method (or any other) to customize your personal experience. I would actually like to see how something like that would work on iOS.
This seems a long way from discontinuing areas that many enjoy. (I reliably informed there are those who enjoy clubbing baby seals (Oh my Lord! the sick things people will do for money!) mental images not withstanding I enjoy the political section. I always enjoy counter arguments and expanding my worldview. Many times it has changed, here. Sometimes at your very hands.
Ok I need to move on a bit. If anyone needs anything just shout out or PM me.
Thanks!
