The Best Nuclear War Films

I’ll offer another movie on YouTube for your consideration.

Breaking News war between Russia and NATO has started WW3 !!!

This BBC movie is 1:44 minutes in length.

Someone made a World War III movie over a decade ago and uploaded it to YouTube. While the movie was obviously extremely low budget and amateur quality with footage from a number of video games and movies not to mention a few realism defying elements, the background scenario is very compelling due to involving a war against Iran ultimately escalating into a global conflict between Russia and the United States.

Thanks, I do like movies. (y)

The Courier

THE COURIER is a true-life spy thriller, the story of an unassuming British businessman Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch) recruited into one of the greatest international conflicts in history. At the behest of the UK’s MI-6 and a CIA operative (Rachel Brosnahan), he forms a covert, dangerous partnership with Soviet officer Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze) in an effort to provide crucial intelligence needed to prevent a nuclear confrontation and defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Day After Disaster

Against a morning sky, a mushroom cloud spirals heavenward. A nuclear bomb has detonated in the heart of Washington D.C., incinerating 15,000 residents in just 15 seconds. More than 50% of the population living within a 1/2 mile radius of the explosion is either dead or severely injured. The next 24 hours will determine whether the rest of the city lives or dies. To survive this horrific ordeal they will need a plan. And lucky for us--there is one. But will it work? For the first time on television, the Department of Homeland Security reveals the most detailed and comprehensive plan to save America should terrorists go nuclear. This chilling two-hour special delves into the complex and highly secretive world of disaster planning.

They're remaking it? Interesting. I wonder how it will build up to the war this time.
Unsure. Assuming the real thing doesn't happen between now and 2027, I would hazard to guess either something with Russia or something with China. I'm leaning more towards Russia. If they do a China story, this is risk China will not permit its distribution within China, which is a huge market. (Isn't that the reason the remake of Red Dawn used North Korea as the invader? )

I don't think mass distribution is something the UK is looking at. But yes, that is why the Red Dawn remake switched it to China. So they could keep the Chinese market.

This looks like it could be interesting.

Certainly one of the best trailers I have seen for a long time - doesn't tell you much, but just enough to spark an interest. Oh, and its directed by Katherine Bigelow, who has form for decent movies.

Looks very interesting and I look forward to watching it.

I've been following this one on NetFlix. It's pretty good. I like the plot line. Who doesn't like nukes exploding, time travel or black holes threating to end the universe. (y):ROFLMAO:
About The Lazarus Project: George is the latest recruit to The Lazarus Project – a secret organization that has harnessed the ability to turn back time whenever the world is at the threat of extinction. George and his colleagues are the few people on Earth with the ability to remember the events that are undone when time goes back. But when a freak accident harms someone close to George, Lazarus won’t let him turn back time to undo it unless there is the threat of global extinction. Now George must choose to stay loyal or go rogue as he faces the question: if you had the power to re-write your past, what would you sacrifice to do it?

(Aftermath-Movie) not sure if previously mentioned. Just watched it on U tube . Very enlightening for many here to watch. Hence my decision to stay solo away from populations . Big difference for my location is no radiation or fall out in a couple of hundred kilometres atleast. So people will be healthier much longer until starvation, lack of water , medication, disease, people killing each other for resources etc takes its toll on most.
