Trump has “greenlit” the bipartisan Russia sanctions bill to move forward, per Sen. Lindsey Graham. The package is designed to hit Russia’s revenue by authorizing tariffs and secondary sanctions on countries that buy Russian exports including oil, gas, and uranium.

The bill already has a filibuster proof level of backing on paper with 84 current Senate cosponsors, which clears the 60 vote procedural threshold if leadership brings it to the floor. A vote is being discussed for next week.
