As of 1 Jan 2026, MSB is formally renamed to “Myndigheten for civilt forsvar” (Agency for Civil Defence). Govt frames the rename as an explicit signal of Sweden’s total defence posture and the need to prepare society for crisis, heightened readiness, and war level contingencies.

Russia denies missile strike on Kharkiv, claims ammo depot explosion

"The information about the alleged strike on the city of Kharkiv by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on January 2 is not true," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.

Pointing to video footage from eyewitnesses, Moscow claimed the epicenter of the blast was the "Persona" shopping center on Olesya Gonchara Street. The statement alleged that smoke was visible in the building prior to the blast, indicating the "detonation of ammunition stored there by the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

At least 10 C-17A Globemaster IIIs with the U.S. Air Force arriving at the base or currently crossing the Atlantic from the United States. Almost all of the C-17s appear to be out of either Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, the home of the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR); or Campbell Army Airfield in Kentucky, which houses the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st/2nd Battalions of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR).

I don't know. What I do know is that right now the people of Iran are trying to take back their country, and the President of the United States has promised to help them. I know some people think he is a lying dictator who wants to be king but I myself have a tendency to believe him when he says he is going to do something.

How often does Trump go back on his word when it comes to use of force? Not very often.

Ukraine’s parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk blasts Czech Chamber of Deputies speaker Tomio Okamura’s anti-Ukraine New Year messaging, stressing it is a personal view and warning it is manipulative fuel for wedge politics.

NOTE:
Direct statement from Stefanchuk. Expect Russia aligned amplification to stress EU/NATO “fatigue” narratives. Watch for official Prague responses for real signal.

Well, this is interesting. 👇
The US Navy Fleet Tracker is oddly dark as well. We have 11 Aircraft Carriers, look at the 12/29/25 update compared to the 03/17/25 update. We are no longer posturing, we are in OPSEC mode. In Kuwait, the USA maintains roughly 13,500 troops at any given time. These troops serve as a Middle East response force (among other missions).
Chess pieces are being moved. Could be both I guess. Nato exercise and Iran contingency planning. Deserves watching.

Zelenskyy plans to remove another top spy — SBU’s Malyuk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to remove Vasyl Malyuk as head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the state's top counterintelligence agency, as part of an ongoing government reshuffle.

The reshuffle has already seen two other top spies — Kyrylo Budanov and Oleh Ivashchenko — shifted to other responsibilities. Budanov has agreed to head the president's office, while Ivashchenko will be chief of the HUR military intelligence service.

Malyuk is said to be fighting to retain his post.
