Not like the kind people imagine, I don’t imagine secessionism or direct confrontation of millitary and militia, I do expect political violence to continue to climb and climb more rapidly, I expect unrest could get to extreme levels, I believe there will be a collapse of the empire soon enough, but I do not believe land-based civil war. It will be father vs son type stuff, possibly high levels of asymmetric warfare like sabotage, hacktivism, resource theft, that may end up being described as a civil war but would be more like a Russian revolution that leads to a destruction of the empire not expansion.
You forgot assassination of local political leaders or activist.
You know Charlie Kirk. Might not have like him but that was exactly what that was.
No one can say how what or if. What is certain is more political violence and disruption.
There is no clean geographical lines for a larger war. Think guerrilla war between urban and rural.
Any region or urban center could be brought to its knees with coordinated infrastructure sabotage.
Acts like that create all kinds of unintended consequences as well as secondary and tertiary reactions.
You think there aren’t multiple thousands individuals out there who could access resources and have the knowledge on how to drop a modern four lane bridge. Or what nodes on the California or eastern seaboard grid to take it off line.
I was reminded during last weekends snow storm and cold. Half a dozen key infrastructure nodes taken out and thousand would have died indirectly.
My point, we’re all faced with a FAFO inflection point.
Sadly most don’t really care. Care to even consider if it could happen.
Or even smart enough to be concerned that it might.
Politically my state is not looking at one intra-state secessionist movements but two. One third of the state want to secede to Indiana and the other 1/3 to Iowa. In down state all of the local sheriff departments but one has publicly refused to enforce the new state gun laws.
Immigration fix it or shut the FU. If that means departing every single undocumented person in the nation. So be it. Because we’re tired of seeing immigration AND immigrants used as political tools.
Rail at republicans for making immigration an election issue.
Look to yourself for allowing everyone else use it for their own political aims.
And that is what everyone on all sides are doing right now.
Be outraged that an ICE agent shoots a protestor and ignore your own culpability for using immigration and the non-enforcement of laws and yeah common sense towards your own political agenda
