🗣️ | UA-NATO/RU | Crisis Environment | ANALYSIS OF REPORTS

And this is different than what we’ve been hearing from the MFA throughout all this conflict how…..? Is this actually something to worry about?
It's definitely something to keep an eye on.
One good point is that she continues to mention British targets 'inside' Ukraine, which is widely interpreted as British supplied weapons.
Now that being said, there have always been rumors of NATO "advisers" aiding Ukraine military on the ground.
That has never been confirmed.

As I stated above, the fact that targets outside Ukraine also continues to be mentioned is something to keep an eye on.....diligently.

I personally would give 0 credibility both to the story, and to the source as a reliable OSINT disseminator.
He cites absolutely no credible source, nor ANY source for that matter.
In fact, The exact wording — “Russia deploys tactical nuclear systems to forward positions and issues a 24-hour ultimatum to NATO forces” — is circulating on multiple X accounts.

Again, someone posts something on X with no credible source, and multiple X accounts repost the same false info multiple times.

Russia is always threatening. Media is making it out to be more than it is, I think. But it isn't something I'd dismiss entirely. There is a point where Russia will respond.

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything about a 24 notice.

Bloomburg 08/27/2026: Putin Moves To Escalate War In Ukrain As Talks At Dead End

It sounds to me like someone trying to scare people. There was a recent Bloomberg report (link above - paywall) talking about how tensions are rising because peace talks are stalled, and some Kremlin insiders are worried Putin might consider tactical nukes as an absolute last resort. That same Bloomberg report states a growing number of internal Russian officials view tactical nuclear weapons as a theoretical last-resort option if their military position degrades significantly, Bloomberg explicitly emphasizes that there are absolutely no signs or evidence that Russia is currently preparing a nuclear strike. No official intelligence agency, government, or actual news outlet has said anything about a 24-hour ultimatum to NATO or weapons being moved into forward positions.

There's ongoing speculation, that Lukashenko flew to Moscow all of a sudden today, trying to link (guess why 💰) the timing with the visit of the CIA director.
While this has actually occurred, the meeting was announced before the arrival of the CIA director in Russia.
Plus Putin and Lukashenko are meeting in a nearly monthly base.

Nothing new here.

Fearmongering news:

Announcement from the morning of the 25th of August.

Only one thing is really for certain. Putin will eventually die of natural or unnatural causes. This should give the world some hope.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Putin will be replaced with another “Putin.” Always remember sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t.

Yes but the difference is they will have an out and will have a better chance of saving face. Putin knows he is a dead man if he makes any concessions.

I would also ask whether we really think we know Putin anymore. He obviously continues to deteriorate mentally and physically.

All true regarding Putin.
Regarding the current situation, I will repeat this...despite all the media, fake OSINT reports, and X's horseshit...this is nothing different compared to last week speaking about the risk of a NATO-RU war.
And again, this is nothing compared to the situation we had at the end of 2022, even conventionally speaking.

Then of course everyone is free to have his own interpretation, but I think that independently from the content of the meeting between CIA and FSB directors (which has received, far too attention) there's enough information and there's enough lack of worrying signals to conclude that you can sleep peacefully. For now of course, as it's been for 4 years, things can always change when there's a superpower involved in a conflict.
