“According to Zakharova, the matter concerns the creation of weapons designed for mass destruction and the prolonged disabling of Russian aviation infrastructure.

She also claims that the actions of Ukraine and NATO allegedly give the Russian military grounds to pay increased attention to enterprises involved in the development and production of weapons used against Russia.”

A bit confused here….I assume she’s talking about the supposed development of such weapons, and not the deployment of them?

It more-so sounds like she’s accusing NATO of using Ukraine as a testing ground for weapons development, which is a frequently repeated line by the Russians. Keep in mind this comes as the NATO summit in the next couple weeks is meant to discuss the increased joint production between Ukraine and NATO, so expect more of this rhetoric.

I believe this is what the Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman is referring to.

by accident or design it is definitely happening

Don’t know if this is a good thing or bad thing…..

Why I say it could be a “good” thing is because Lavrov and company were accusing us of “breaking” the Anchorage agreements. If both Putin and Trump say no deal was reached, then no deal was reached; perhaps paving the way for future negotiations.

Did a lot of investigating on this before sharing it here because a lot of this is news to me. Apparently there’s still been a minor amount of non sanctioned goods traveling from or through Russia to the Baltics and Finland, while the transit of sanctioned goods and leisure travel has been shut down since 22/23. In the past month Russia has been attempting to curb this by increasing tariffs 100% on goods crossing this border, and preventing goods from going through Belarus to avoid the tariff. This policy sounds like it is likely the final step in the stoppage of this traffic.

Russia suffering 'one crisis after another' as Ukraine's drones hammer Crimea, Fedorov says. Therefore, from both a military and logistical perspective, it is an important target for us," Fedorov said.
