Denmark’s mine clearance unit used a remotely operated maritime surface drone during mine countermeasure training. The system is used to scan the seabed and collect data around critical underwater infrastructure, including cables and pipelines.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have held a phone call, during which they discussed the Ukraine conflict, the situation around Iran, and the prospects for restoring bilateral ties, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said.The Russian president briefed Trump on what Ushakov described as the real situation on the ground in Ukraine, saying Russian forces were advancing along the entire line of contact and taking “one settlement after another.”

US President Donald Trump has offered to help Russian President Vladimir Putin find a solution to the Ukraine war, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said.Ushakov said that Trump made the offer during a nearly 90-minute phone call on Saturday to discuss the war in Ukraine ahead of a NATO summit in Ankara.
NATO’s July 7th & 8th Ankara summit will include a Defence Industry Forum focused on turning the Alliance’s 5% defence investment plan into production, joint procurement and “industrial deterrence.” NATO says high level announcements are planned across drones, space/surveillance, strike capabilities, IAMD and defence critical raw materials.
Finland authorized procurement of Saab RBS 70 NG short range ground based air defence systems. The €108M package will expand air defence coverage and improve capability against unmanned and manned aerial vehicles, with full operational capability expected by the end of the 2020s.
