🗣️US-Israel (&) Iran-Lebanon | Memorandum of Understanding Was Signed | ANALYSIS OF REPORTS

If Hezbollah keeps attacking Israel from its bases in Lebanon then it's common sense for Israel to strike Hezbollah's bases in Lebanon. It's not a matter of sabotaging a US peace process that Israel is not a party to -- it's a matter of self defense. If a terrorist group set up shop in Canada and routinely attacked the US from there we'd be bombing them, too --regardless of the Canadian government.
Im not sure if you replied to the wrong person as my post and the quoted report are about Netanyahu's stated commitment in the quoted report to continue war with Iran directly and nothing to do with Lebanon in specific, it even states so at the start in the first sentence. The first post mentioned Lebanon and then the second one which is the one you quote in your reply here acknowledges that i was off.

Basically, Israel and Hezbollah are going to continue fighting, regardless of the MOU between the US an Iran.. Even in Iran, the factions don't seem to be in agreement. So, this agreement is worthless?

Trump is probably at this point willing to sell the founding fathers graves or his own sons to slavery at this point to get a deal with these terrorist and forever permanently alter/destroy American hegemony & her perceived American Military Superiority, forever.

The terrorists have won folks. Now just a slow steady decline until a western city goes up in radioactive smoke from a suitcase nuke or dirty bomb in a decade or so. My bets are on Tel Aviv....

The only thing Iran has learned is to build the bomb quicker and in deeper secrecy. And when they get it. They will commit terrorist acts unimpeded or with absolute impunity/unchecked, AKA nuclear blackmail.

Wow. They only got $50 billion from Obama, and even that was through unfreezing assets that already belonged to Iran. Must be adjusting for inflation.

Seriously, are we going to be giving them $300 billion - funded by the taxpayers - or are we going to unfreeze $300 billion in Iranian assets? This makes a huge difference in how the ending of the war is perceived, assuming it lasts long enough for them to get that money.

This is what I am seeing.

Still waiting for details of the MoU to come out.

The Gulf States that have had their tankers held hostage and their countries attacked will collectively pay Iran $300 Billion for whatever Iran wants to say its for. The USA is paying them a whole number less than one as far as I can suss out.

On the other hand we should have bombed them and killed them untial they surrendered, publicly sued for peace or were all dead. If we were not going to do that we should have stayed home and bin watched Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Tour of Duty, China Beach and Generation Kill. Anything to keep busy and not start randomly bombing smaller countries.

Really doesn’t matter IMO who’s paying. The deal makes the IRGC 300 billion dollars richer. That is more than China’s defence budget. Imagine how many weapons they could get with that

So far, from what we know:
- $300 billion
- All sanctions lifted
- Frozen assets unfrozen
- The IRGC will now charge for passing through the Strait of Hormuz
- No mention of ballistic missiles/proxies
- Nuclear agreement based on Islamic regime’s word.

In ten years, thats $100B per year of sanctions relief, $300B upfront, and $30B unfrozen. Total, $1.33 trillion.

Not only is he removing all sanctions from a nation of 100 million people and allowing their economy to globalise basically making them grow rapidly but he’s also giving them $300B. This deal is turning Iran into a regional superpower

There's still time for it to fall through.....

Don, do you want a genocide?

Please, getting upset about a deal involving the US is pointless. Vietnam get paid out?
This conflict still has an allie to rely on, Israel. Israel won't stop.
Just like europe the money machine keeps on ching chinging. Sales of weapons etc will continue for the US regardless. Sit back and enjoy it while it lasts.

That was sarcasm. But if you are going to war you should not go unless you are willing to keep killing their soldiers and leaders. We went through 2.5 leadership teams and grand poohbahs. Apparently we needed a couple more.

In no case should you target civilians or fail to protect them.

Trump kept ragging on Obama for paying off Iran (which was also a terrible idea) and he is doing himself and spending more.

Money wise it would been a better investment to crushed the Regime Months ago.

I don't want to said like a Partisan hack talking but this man is incompetent.

He has left the Israelis out to dry when he shouldn't of made promises to them at the start. A lone wolf Israel is probably more dangerous than cooperative one. They've learned Trump's word is bullshit.

Also all of the Arab nations are complete cowards they could've formed a collation with the US.

Then you have Trump's handling with Europe and his interface in UK affairs have eroded the US ability to yield their support and the US use of soft power overall.

What a mess.

Don, do you want a genocide?

Defeating a enemy and going to war in itself is not an act of genocide. Torch clearly meant the Iranian Regime not all of its people collectively.

I really wish people would stop calling every conflict a genocide. Looking at you "Free Palestine".

If we had done that, actually waged war. Everyone would be crying war crimes, war crimes. In that regard it is a no win situation.

The Western citizen is not prepared to wage war. They want a clean war with minimal casualties. They want quickly advancing lines of control and minimal blood and fire. That includes enemy combatants. Kill to many soldiers, wait 12 hours and some pundit in Washington or NY will be on the nightly news bemoaning the egregious loss of life of outmatched and untrained enemy solders who were killed needlessly.
6 hours later social media will see an uptick in post about the American military needlessly killing conscripted and untrained soldiers all while breathlessly asking the question is it genocide.

Maybe not listen to sources whose headlines are only from press releases from Iran government sources only.

The memorandum hasn’t been released yet and everyone here is throwing around statements of fact based on rumor and press releases from the IRGC? WTH

Reuters, Bloomberg, Axios, Israeli media and IRGC statements appear to all be matching.
