I don’t think block chain will ever be completely accepted by gov till they can find a way to control and track and seize Bit currencies.
And there in lies the problem of true blockchain exchange.
No crypto will ever be accepted as a such if the exchange and settlement process can be controled by a third party.

When nations go to zero paper currency is when blockchain will really take off.
It will be the currency of the black market.

Personally I believe that cryptocurrency is a sign of the beast. You know no one can buy or sell without the mark. You know 666. But that's just me.

That same thing can just as easily be applied to a national currency as well.
They can already freeze, seize, or prevent where you send your money.

Ask yourself this, discounting the current limited circulation and outlets available to crypto.

Which system tries to control or regulate what people are choosing to use their economic resources on.

I’m beginning to view crypto as the electronic version of the barter system.

The problem with crypto is that there is nothing to back it up.

If, someday, everyone decides that a bitcoin is worth nothing, then it is worth nothing.

With government notes, at least you can have the government step in and say "this note is worth <x>". China does that.

Crypto is in it's infantize right now. If the world economy crashes that's when you'll see an organization like the UN step in with a world crypto currency. IMO

Your absolutely correct in that. It’s not a viable collapse or investment vehicle solution.
I am looking at it as a possibly viable alternative if a nations currency is further regulated to the point using it is not equitable or easy to do.
Thus my barter reference.
It would have to be a truly blockchain system and your funds would have to be stored in a personally held wallet. Unlike FTX
There both still fiat. In reality all currencies are fiat.
Their value depreciates as trust diminishes in them or inflation becomes endemic.

None of them are guaranteed, there just probabilities based on historic performance.

As a government imposes more and more regulations to “modify” individuals financial activities. We are just a few short years before all paper currency is abolished.
AsMore and more people enter the ranks of criminals. Or the lay down and submit to a control happy bureaucracy.
You know, show me the man and I’ll show you the criminal. There was a reason the “Treasury department” was the principle agency used during Probation.

That’s always possible but right now I don’t see it happening large scale. I don’t see Russia of China willing to cooperate with a western sponsored world currency. And just the opposite in the reverse.
