Been looking at the Antartic treaty system. China still looks like a backbenncher and my guts say that they dont like this. Raises the question how would the world react if China would make an agressive push on the Antartic? Some out of the box idea.

I was under the impression that the Antarctic was not to be claimed by any country and is essentially a continent-sized protected ecosystem with extremely limited access.
Oh, that definately wasn't going to happen. There's one country...Argentina?...that sends pregnant women down there to have their babies so they can claim to be citizens of the Antarctic and thus lay a claim to it.

Hear me out...we can test it out with republican families...then if we have claim...we can do what the UK did and hold them, hostage..till they branch off and we have to fight for them to be under us again.

You made my brain hurt.

Side Note: Though I do believe its about time to setup some kind of American Post consistent of several family units there so we can legitimately lay some claim.

Better claim it now than later, Antarctica will be a rather freindsly environment at least to gather resources sooner than we all like to think.

The accessibility of Antarctica will come quick due to two factors #1 Hasted advancement in making advanced technology cheaper and #2 climate change.

We don't need to worry about this, I notified my friend who notified Kamala who notified Biden; our president in on the case.

If you thought I was making that bit up about sending women to give birth in Antarctica to lay claim, here is an article about it:

There are other articles as well.
My eye roll wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at Argentina using that as a strategy.
