Bank of England to end Emergency Support program

Worst case scenario this could break the west. We are already struggling and barely floating by after the Pandemic economic downturns. Not sure how much more Western markets or currencies can take. If that happens say goodbye to civilized society for awhile.
I know this sounds dramatic but it doesn't take much logic or thinking to put two and two together.

If the British Pound implodes then so will other nations currencies that have invested in the British Pound. Once other Western markets and currencies implode from a domino effect it will trickle down fast to lower income people in form of mass unemployment, mass inflation, which will lead to mass civil unrest because frankly the public seems fed up enough already which this will push a lot over the proverbial edge.

The term money makes the world go round isn't just a cheesy phrase. Take the value of money away and society will pop in the West.

This will also affect China as well. I'm not sure how much China has invested in the British pound but I know China has a lot invested in the American dollar. If the American dollar starts to Free Fall due to its deep connection with the British Pound China will also start to implode. China is very dependent on Western money, take the value away from Western money and China is nothing.

A good few skyscrapers in London are Chinese investments.

No many knew. Including me. The market media outlets have been warning of a major recession dare say depression was coming for months now.

Thing is we didn't know what would trigger it or when it would happen. But given this news many including myself are betting this will be just what pushes us over that proverbial edge.

I'm not sure it's possible for the British Pound to completely collapses or become virtually worthless. But not going to say its impossible...

Though I would hope the government would intervene in the markets before we reached that point and pull the metaphorical emergency breaks on the markets.

Did some reading and asked a few people some questions. I don't feel any better about the possible market & currency crash in Britain happening.

I asked a friend what can the government do to prevent a total or partial collapse in currency & market. To sum it up nicely "there are things the government can do to slow it down but if the faith in the market and currency fails then there isn't anything the government can do."

To me that's just awful to even contemplate. If it was just the markets I wouldn't be so concerned. But it's the currency crash too and public possibly losing faith in currency which I don't think I need to explain what happens when Western money becomes as useless as the Mexican Peso.

Definitely keeping a close personal eye on this one.

and this is the down side of fractional reserve banking and money printing.
And the plunge protection actions that keep propping up nothing but paper.
Paper money is like laws, the degree of there success is in dependent on faith. There great when properly administered.
And a cancer when there not.
Maybe nothing will happen this time besides a down turn. And retirees can look forward to working a couple of years longer.

And really not even paper money, not theyre just propping up a a series of 1’s and 0’s

Its much larger then that. British markets and currency has been in a rollercoaster lately. This news today just cuts the cake. Let's hope it won't snowball the markets and faith in currency like some are analyzing as a worst case scenario.

Im not saying this couldn’t be far worse. I was just reflecting that we might just see a down turn.
Those Lehman events always seem to come as surprises.

'Hoist with his own petard', springs to mind.

The Deagle report seems to be moving from the domain of the conspiracy to the domain of 'in your face'.
