Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo, who popularized the national concern over critical race theory, slammed Newsweek in a tweet for being pedantic and partisan.

It would be pretty easy to verify in this case, let's see some more video of blurred crowds.

It appears there's only a single claim that this is going on, and attacking the reputation of someone who is pointing this out doesn't really help get to the truth in any way, in fact it seems like a typical trumpian gambit to move the debate to 'he said she said' and 'alternative facts'.

I’m not sure about the wholesale blurring of the crowds but Barrons is reporting that Chinese state broadcaster is cutting close up images of maskless people.

The issue with Chinese viewers responding poorly to unmasked crowded is still provoking a backlash im china. And evidently at least at some level they are trying to minimize maskless images.

I'm not attacking anybody. All I did was a quick search on the author of the fact check and posted what I found. I hope china is not doing what I posted but I'm afraid, looking at the history of the communists that if they're not now they are going to try to!
 
Maybe china will be too busy with internal strife to mess around with Tawain for a while! (y)
 
the situation in China could very well get out of control, but the CCP is very brutal. When desperation sets in, as it has in China, desperate people can do desperate things. It's the mindset of "if there's nothing to lose, what the hell".
