South Korea’s Defense Ministry reportedly plans special legislation for the Jang Bogo N nuclear powered attack submarine program.

The draft would reaffirm Seoul’s prohibition on nuclear weapons and its NPT/IAEA obligations while exempting the program from a preliminary feasibility study. It has not been enacted, and no construction contract has been announced.
