Texas based SuperCritical Materials secured an exclusive U.S. Department of Energy license for technology using treated acrylic fibers to extract uranium dissolved in seawater.

The company proposes a Texas facility producing 1.85 million pounds annually as early as 2030 or 31, but has not made a final investment decision and still requires regulatory approvals.

ČEZ began the process to enable Temelín Nuclear Power Plant Units 1 & 2 to operate for 80 years, through approximately 2080 & 2082 respectively.

Hyundai E&C & First American Nuclear signed a framework agreement to cooperate on EAGL-1, a proposed 240 MWe lead bismuth cooled fast SMR.

A reinforcement-learning system remotely adjusted PUR-1’s power through infrastructure linking Idaho, Indiana & Virginia, while the reactor’s independent safety systems retained full control.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill signed the Power NJ Act, launching a competitive procurement process for at least 1,100 MW of new nuclear generation.

Ratepayer safeguards require federal financing and a demonstrated net benefit. Ratepayers would pay nothing during construction and would not be responsible for project cost overruns.

The NPCIL–NTPC joint venture ASHVINI is preparing to invite bids for a nuclear island engineering, procurement & construction package worth over ₹280 billion for four planned 700 MWe PHWRs at the Mahi Banswara project in Rajasthan.
