This is a curious one. In part it’s not much different than what DARPA and green energy funding already did. The difference is in actual ownership vs tax receipts.
All kinds of ways to be abused as well as quasi socialist.
It also provides direct funding for major industries by the gov that would generate direct funding for receipts.
As opposed to large banks, many of them foreign owned funding these projects and industries and themselves benefitting from the dividends.

What will be interesting to see is who will support it and who will attack it.

In a manner it’s very much like a diversified sovereign wealth fund.
