JD Vance will chair a National Security Council principals meeting on Iran that will get under way shortly.

According to a source familiar with the US vice president's schedule, the talks will get under way at 4pm in Washington - that's 9pm UK time.

Donald Trump is due to be leaving Michigan shortly and will head back to the White House later, but it's not clear whether he will join the meeting.
