However, I think were going to see and have started to see a moderation of Trump. His conciliatory speech was unlike any others he has given so far, his website removed the call to ban Muslims, and his advisors are hinting at walking "back Hillary for jail" and the wall. The media's reaction to Trump winning is not far off from the media's reaction in 1980 to Reagan's victory, and look how that turned out.

That's a fair point, and I really don't think he is going to make such a pronouncement in his first 100 days.

Not only was Trump's victory speech humble, but Clinton's conciliation speech was surprisingly human for her as well.

However, time has a way of washing away momentary feelingly of reason, and I think as time goes on Trump will return to some of his harder positions.

Maybe.

The enormity of the office may temper some of his positions, whether that is for the good or bad.

I will say this. Israel, while not always being in the right, is the best and quickest way to a peaceful Middle East. I have always been amazed at their capacity to make something out of nothing and flourish where some would consider impossible. I think a great deal of the hatred toward Jews is in fact stemming from jealousy of their continued persistence and success. I am a non-practicing Christian by the way.
