I think the judge was wrong. Info on the website is pretty clear.

California can just go ahead and slide/sink into the Pacific. Ditto for Milwaukee, that city can just slide/sink into lake Michigan. That or give the land back to the natives.

Deceptive advertising is wrong no matter who does it. Most nonprofits only use about 10 cents on the dollar for who they claim they are helping. IMO

If this is what they post on their ads than I have no problem with it.

That isn't true. But some are better than others.

One of the best videos I've ever watched in recent memory. Touches on this and doesn't hold back. He touches the ugly truth and gives the facts:

The breast cancer foundation statistics was quite shocking to me. Less than a thousand woman scanned with the hundreds of millions taken on on walks and charity evens. 🤢

It also touches base on how charity has destroyed Africa and keeps it down.

He nor I saying charity bad. Just how it is carried out is.

I believe that if California wants charities operating in its borders to disclose where (geographically) the funds are used, they have a right to require disclosure of such particularly if the charity receives some sort of tax exemption in California. That seems reasonable under the 10th Amendment.

However, I have a problem with this part of the ruling. It seems like it might be a 1st Amendment violation:
If Kars4Kids resumes advertising, she wrote, its ads must contain “an express, audible disclosure of its religious affiliation
This is the state compelling an entity to reveal it's religious affiliation, thus prohibiting the entity's free exercise of such. One cannot be expected to freely exercise their religion if they are always compelled to reveal it in public.

I'd be okay with the following blurb in their commercials: "Please visit kars4kids.com for affiliation and funds dispersal details."

California has this tendency to mollycoddle it's citizens in certain areas. But it's inconsistent. Their people for some reason have to be told that a charity supports a particular faith. For some reason Californian adults can't do their own research into a charity before donating.

But in California, is Ford required to disclose in commercials that their internal combustion engines emit pollutants? Is Arrowhead Water required to disclose that water can cause drowning? Must Morton Salt disclose that excessive use of their product can cause hypertension? No! Consumers are expected to do their own research before purchasing the product. Can't people do the same for charitable donations? It's not like Kars4Kids is hiding it in a clandestine fashion...

I knew that Kars4Kids supported Jewish organizations in the NYC Metro area. But that is because I was curious about how they made money and actually looked it up like any reasonable person could or should. I didn't need a commercial to tell me that.

There are bad charities out there. The Clinton Foundation was one of the worst.

But to say that "Most nonprofits only use about 10 cents on the dollar for who they claim they are helping" is inaccurate.
You're right. Should have said" some" not "most." In my defense I did say "about" 10 cents and put an IMO "in my opinion" at the end.
Bottom line: If you're going to give. Do your research on who you're giving to.

Or a law or court intervention.

What is criminal is different than being played a fool.
To the extent a society tries to protect all fools. There will be no end to the number of things that society makes criminal.

We all believe in micro-evolution at least don’t we? Well that applies to fools as well. Or said another way a fool and his money are soon parted.

All of what I said has nothing to do the legitimacy of this particular charity. Its only about how far a society tries to go to protect people. Like you said people should try and educate themselves on things they’re going to support or invest in.

And in all actuality California does require auto makers to disclose in multiple locations that they’re cars emit pollutants and carcinogens. Not just on cars but on almost everything sold in the state. Wooden furniture has to have a carcinogen warning label due to the fact if enough wood dust is inhaled it can hurt your lungs, I suppose. Furniture is often made out of wood, thus wooden furniture can be harmful to ones health.
As I said a fool and his money

Understood. But my point is that Ford doesn't have to say it in a commercial. I mean I've never heard a radio commercial in California wrap up a car commercial in this manner: "So drive the all new Ford Galaxie 500 today! Visit your California Ford dealer today. Have you driven a Ford lately? Note Ford internal combustion engines emit pollutants."

But this judge is requiring Kars4Kids to disclose certain details in its commercials, which is why I called it inconsistent.
