I believe that the government and the CSTO managed to control kazakhstan, but it has sown the seed for an armed resistance, the magnitude and scope of that resistance will depend on how the government handles national reconciliation and meets the expectations of the people of kazakhstan, in otherwise, the armed resistance will continue to grow and will more than likely be supported by external actors.

UK Chief of the Defense Staff Tony Radakin said he presented the British government with possible scenarios of military action in case of Russia’s hypothetical invasion of Ukraine.

This is how they commented on Blinken's phrase regarding the entry of Russian peacekeepers into Kazakhstan as part of the collective efforts of the CSTO.
In his speech, the American secretary of state said: "One lesson from past history: when Russians are in your house, it can be difficult to get them to leave."

“If Anthony Blinken is so fond of history lessons, then let him mean the following: when Americans are in your house, it can be difficult to stay alive, or not to be robbed or raped,” - Moscow said.
They stressed that "only this is not taught by the recent past, but by all 300 years of American history."

Maybe there is a subversive truth to the Critical Race Theory being taught in American universities. That it has in fact been sponsored and encourage by adversarial foreign governments. They seem to speak from the same textbook.

And he WILL do it - Kazakhstan is the key to Russia's death. It's the key for Russian influence over China due to the insanely profitable transport routes. It's the way to stop Turkey's Great Turan project. Should i mention that Kazakhstan is the top #1 source of Uranium that produces x10 times more of it than Russia? In the wake of nuclear energy and weaponry needs? Way bigger priority target than that "country 404" no one cares about in a bigger way than just the launch pad for weapons and aircraft. There are still a lot of reasons why Kazakhstan worth fighting for, but i'll get way too tired to count all of them.
And yes - he has forces for both. These countries require different kinds of specialists to deal with.

This only works in movies. This is real life. Enough of fiction and "thinking-in-frames-of-fiction" things.
Rebels have only a handful of weapons on their hands from gunstores or a few police stations. They have no supply - they have to provide themselves with food from somewhere. They have to keep themselves warm somehow - it's winter. And it's cold out there. CSTO peacekeeping forces has taken most of the key spots under their defence, so Kazakhstani local forces can free themselves of this exhausting guarding work, gather their forces and start clearing.

Security forces now will turn upside down every place, every rock in the country. For example, it is reported that military has lost track of it's 6 "Igla" launchers. Everyone is working in search for them.

Kazakhstan is a very complicated place, so i don't judge anyone for being ignorant, short-sighted or not knowledgeable - nobody is. It is a web full of different circles going on - be it ethnical, social, economical, foreign corporational ones, every single one. No one can say things for sure in this country. The only one man who could get a hang of it and balance on top of all that - was Nazarbayev. But he's probably dead by now.

Oh really? Go ask the Taliban about the Red Dawn type insurgency. I am pretty sure it worked for them and they definitely haven’t watched the movies. They were using WW2 British 303s and fought the Russians for years. I don’t care how big and bad any military is, if a decent part of the population wants you out your going to get forced out, hat or balls in hand.

Kazakhstan is too big for Russia to pull of another Chechnya!!! Well and not have the entire Arab world all over their asses anyway.

Could just be a sympathetic Russian who wants to help drive the Russians out as well,, we had our own traitors in Afghanistan but they got caught fast. The British had a few in ISIS to say the least.

I don't think it was a "decent part of the population". It was a segment, augmented by fighters from other countries, in a population that just couldn't care less anymore.

The Red Cross could have come in and done the same, exact thing.

What did we do to Afghanistan? Made them stronger. Even if the right people didnt take to power Afghanistan has better infrastructure and better way of life than before we went in. Same can be said for Iraq or anywhere else we stuck our noses in. That cannot be said to any country Russia has stuck its nose in ever.

You can throw shade on America where not perfect, but the Russian leadership and military has way more issues and farthest from perfect.

Not arguing that at all. I'm simply saying Americans have convenient amnesia when it comes to their own genocidal history, and they deserve to have it thrown in their face occasionally due to their arrogance on the subject.

The only genocide America did was to the natives. I AM NOT diminishing what happened to natives. But every country worth mentioning on this planet wouldn't be here without the suppression of native populations. America is not unique when it comes to this. It's not a American problem, it's a worldly problem on how nation states became to be and what they did there after to native inhabitants. But it's not just a American problem or even a unique problem exclusive to America.

Don't believe me? Ask the Canadian natives, the colonial natives of France/Britain, or EVEN Russian own expansion and slaughter of most Siberian Natives.
The Russian conquest of Siberia was accompanied by massacres due to indigenous resistance to colonization by the Russian Cossacks, who savagely crushed the natives.

Honestly it is not just one country or another. Every country and or civilization has, at one time or another, slaughtered/enslaved/slighted another country or civilization at some time throughout history. I feel the sins of the past should be left there. Use them as a history lesson, a "what not to do" if you wish. However I think we need to get over the events of the past and move forward. the Indians were slaughtered. Great! it happened how many years ago? The sins of the past shouldn't be used as an excuse for the sins of today. and honestly, there is no correcting the sins of the past in relation to this subject. all people can do is teach their children not to repeat the same situation that resulted in those sins. You take the Indians as an example. They were (by the government) slaughtered, forced into reservations, small pox blankets, etc.etc.etc. Now those same tribes cling to the same "reservations" as if they are still confined to them. They cling to welfare as if it is some sort of "pay back" for what happened in the past. and on top of all that, they are the first people in line to get the "government" wonder shot for free. Why not move forward. Why not go to school on the free education they are given and better themselves. My children are Indian kids. They don't have to work if they choose not to. However, i taught them to be productive members of society. They both hold jobs and pay their bills, and have health coverage through there employers. The cycle can be broken. It just requires people to teach their kids a different way.

no offence intended or implied. I just think we as a society need to bury the hatchet, handle and all. not keep pulling it out every chance we get.
 
Well we’ll we’ll, turns out both leaders from Kazakhstan were in St.Petersburg December 28th and Putin had spoken with Tokayev non stop. This was a Russian backed coup pure and simple.
