Los Angeles Fires - Reports only

Gonna try to get some sleep. Someone’s gotta pick this up for me for a little while. This will be one for the books when it’s done.
 
Not a report, but I listen into scanners, and you hear so many calls of fire fighters down. Then you have people on the signals saying that Mexicans need to die (I can send clips of the stuff if needed on command 1 and command 3 channels). It's insane that there are so many fire fighters and groupings of them going down.

Sometimes we'd come across people who would refuse to evacuate. In that case, we would ask them for the name and phone number of their next of kin. That usually got them going.

The fact that anyone on the west coast does not understand the danger of fire blows my mind. It was pounded into my head as a kid.

Then again, despite watching this happen year after year, the vast majority of wild fires are human caused, so guess you can lead a horse to water but you can't fix stupidity.
