These countries are acting like Idiots. The problem: They both think they were winning.

Absent Nuclear weapons India’s army would, after extensive mobilization, dominate the Pakistani Army and sweep them from the field

In the Air, Pakistan was winning the battle but only by a sliver. This was shocking because India was expected to hammer them. Forget airframes, this was primarily due to Chinese weapons that performed at or beyond their specifications.

The Indians were not the only ones shocked!

Purchasing French weapons will help but the Chinese weapons outperformed the USA’s current stable of elderly weaponry.

India can close the gap in the Airforce and Pakistan can probably do very little to bolster its ground forces necessary to met India.

That mean next war, is a grueling struggle until one side (Pakistan) loses too much and retaliates. Bang.

The world seems asleep to this. We all need to work to separate these to countries as much as possible.

They are gaming for renewed LoC fire... You do not harden trauma capacity in multiple LoC districts unless you assume shelling could resume with little warning, or... They think a crisis could escalate fast enough that civilian and military casualties spike before they can surge staff.

The US has approved a 686 million dollar package of advanced technology and support to upgrade Pakistan’s F-16 fleet, while India remains subject to 50 percent US tariffs on its exports. The F-16 deal is framed in Washington as supporting Pakistan’s counterterrorism capability and interoperability, but in New Delhi it will be read alongside steep trade measures as a politically awkward signal of continued US & Pakistan defence cooperation after the May India & Pakistan conflict.

The investigation initially failed to find any link of the blast to any foreign outfit, even as speculation regarding the involvement of JeM was rife. However, now it has been established that funding for the attack came from Pakistan, sources said, however the identity of the outfit behind it, is now being ascertained.

Pakistan officials say the Jhelum is now seeing disrupted & reduced inflows after the recent Chenab volatility, alleging upstream regulation by India’s run of the river hydropower plants. Dawn cites internal figures showing Mangla inflows falling from 5,000 cusecs from Dec 14th to 3,300 cusecs Dec 15th to 19th while outflows stayed 33,000 cusecs, with Kerot hydropower readings described as similar.
