That's what I've been personally been doing as I sweat my butt off from this desert heat.
This heat almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter 😉
You from the northeastern deserts or southern deserts? I see your profile says west coast

Hasn't gotten too hot up here but it's 80 and only May, but I like the desert heat more than the cold 🥶

I think this may have influenced going 3?

ISLAMABAD, May 10 (Reuters) - Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Command Authority on Saturday, the military said, after Islamabad launched a military operation against India and targeted multiple bases.
The authority is the top body of civilian and military officials that takes security decisions including those related to the country's nuclear arsenal.

Remember... DEFCON Warning System does not change the DEFCON levels unless there’s credible, sustained reason to do so. This isn't clickbait, it’s not for drama, and it’s not for views. It reflects real world escalation, but it’s still a watch posture, not a panic trigger.

Prepare now while you still can.

Stay calm, stay informed, and rely on facts, not fear. Goodnight everyone and be safe.
Why are you saying prepare if people aren't in the area? I feel like most of the members are American. We have some Aus and some Eastern Europe.

Is the defcon 3 alert related to Pakistans nuclear arsenal of 2 megaton saber ratling? or is it more related to the future missile strike on Kiev? And do you guys then think it would be a domino effect?

A nuke going off in Pakistan or India (or multiple) will have global effects that we can only try to predict.

It’s a black swan event dude. Nothing would prepare us for what would come of that.

This has nothing to do with Ukraine.

This is all Pakistan and India.

Last night’s situation was quite a rollercoaster.

I'm a bit confused—are we expecting a de-escalation or not? I was planning to go to the store today to replenish some of my emergency supplies, such as cat food and litter, canned food, powdered eggs and milk, hygiene products, batteries, canned goods, and a few bags of rice. However, I have limited storage space and funds, so I'm unsure whether I should hold off on making a supply run.

Could you please advise whether I should proceed with the purchase or wait? Additionally, since this event may not directly involve the U.S., what supplies would you recommend I focus on obtaining?

BREAKING: Trump:After a long night of U.S.-mediated talks, India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both countries for choosing Common Sense and Great Intelligence.

Don't believe it until it actually happens. NO CEASEFIRE ON GROUND. YET.

Fresh reports of Indian strikes on Pakistan and DW reporting fighting still ongoing. Trump has announced CFs before only to be total BS. Beware.

Just rotate old stock if needed.
I wouldn't panic on this conflict.
Unless your local to it, even then panic shouldn't be necessary if your prepared, planned, practiced and knowledgeable.

Pakistan: Pakistani Foreign Minister confirms a ceasefire with India

Now let's wait and see what India says. Need to see if the very recent firings on eachothers bases nullify any agreements made hours prior...
Also let's hope it sticks. Have a feeling the peace may not last long. Have a stronger feeling India and Pakistan still have unfinished business to settle from the past few days.

Neither side wants war but neither want to lose face. This way both sides can say that they have done what was required and step down with a degree of dignity.

Don't let your guard down. India & Pakistan militaries still all on alert and mobilized. Things can snap right back to tit-for-tat any second either side wishes too. This is good step, but that's it a step. Nothing concrete yet.

👉 We can breath. But no one should be calling this over. Not until de-mobilization occurs and high alert status for military roll back.

As always hope for the best, still prepare for the worst.

The terrorists that started this just saw a week of their people being killed. I don't see how the Pakistan government can control their actions across the LOC, and anything they do is going to be considered Pakistan's fault.

I have to wonder what we promised or threatened India and Pakistan with to achieve the ceasefire. Because things were escalating quickly before the announcement.
