Prince Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud, an advisor to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has met with Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah late on Monday during a short visit.
Kuwait's official news agency said that Prince Khalid delivered a letter from Saudi King Salman to the Kuwaiti Emir that discussed bilateral ties between the two Gulf countries and the latest regional developments.

Shoppers in Doha were taking no chances on Monday despite Qatari officials reassuring residents there was no need to panic after Saudi Arabia imposed a de facto food blockade.
Qatar shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia, and relies heavily on food imports, much of it from Gulf countries.
In the nearby Al-Meera supermarket, shoppers again packed the store, including Denis from Germany who was convinced that the crisis was just a temporary storm.

- 'Just a yellow card' -
"This is just a yellow card," he said of the country due to host football's 2022 World Cup.
"What can they do? It is one of the richest countries in the world."
To try to avoid widespread panic-buying, Qatar's government issued a statement claiming that shipping routes and airspace will remain open for imports.
The "Qatari Government will take all necessary measures to... thwart attempts to influence and harm the Qatari society and economy," the statement said.
One sector of the economy which could be badly hurt is exports, including goods such as machinery, electronic equipment or livestock transported by road to Saudi Arabia.

Of course not! This is just silly, that the US would suddenly turn on its own lol.
At a desert base, Gulf state Qatar is covertly training moderate Syrian rebels with U.S. help to fight both President Bashar al-Assad and Islamic State and may include more overtly Islamist insurgent groups, sources close to the matter say.

The camp, south of the capital between Saudi Arabia's border and Al Udeid, the largest U.S. air base in the Middle East, is being used to train the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and other moderate rebels, the sources said.

Freedom fighters my rear, try the main ISIS training base and all of the scum flying into Turkey and sneaking into Syria to fight Assad. The Saudis have been balls deep in funding the operation while the US trains them and pays for their weapons.
Qatar’s rivals have also faulted it for condoning fund-raising for militant Islamist groups fighting in Syria — including groups tied to Al Qaeda and the Islamic State — although several of the other Sunni-led monarchies in the region have played similar roles.

The Saudis have been right there helping them with that funding so this is just a ridiculous excuse.

Seems the evil Kings empire wants to take Qatar for all its riches and use it as a jump off point for an attack on Iran, it will sure get their missiles closer. They need to weaken Iran and take their help away from Syria and Yemen. I would expect the US weapons sale to get approved and delivered before they try to completely take Qatar. Not knowing how Iran will act.

Has anyone read anything about how the whole Sunni- Shia factor is playing out with regard to all this? Qatar is Sunni I believe and this schism in Islam runs all the way back to Mohamed's death. Although it could simply be a situational or the enemy of my enemy with Qatar and Iran. Would be interesting to know how Russian resources are maneuvering behind the scenes in Qatar right now. Enemy of my enemy would certainly be true here with Russia and Saudi's

A campaign by leading Arab powers to isolate Qatar is disrupting trade in commodities from crude oil to metals and food, and deepening fears of a possible jolt to the global gas market, where the tiny Gulf state is a major player.
Just a day after Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies severed transport links with Qatar over a diplomatic row, bans on Doha's fleet using regional ports and anchorages threatened to halt some of its exports and disrupt those of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Traders worried that Riyadh's allies would refuse to accept LNG shipments from the Gulf state, and that Egypt might even bar tankers carrying Qatari cargoes from using the Suez Canal as they head to Europe and beyond - although Cairo is bound by an international agreement to let them use the waterway.
Qatar is now unable to load crude oil onto supertankers
