And shitheads like this guy (who's been used as a "source" here unfortunately, as he was the other dumbass that actually "nearly convinced" someome on this forum that a nuclear stike was imminent weeks ago) are the main responsible for the misinformation that's circulating, of course only on Twitter and on crappy parallel media outlets.

There should not be space for these morons because if we value the quality of the information, we cannot indirectly, but stull spread their crap.
I'm not saying that this is being done on purpose...I'm just saying that echoing these "reports" is just adding unnecessary confusion to a story which has been already reported by the general media, and already been inflated by them.

I really hope that you can realize how ridiculous this kind of content is:

I get what your saying but there is nothing wrong posting that info here. People want to know about the information being boasted online and find out if it is legit or not. Only way to do that is to post the information and than debate/find out if it is true or not.

The forums are used to determine what information is valid or not. How can we do that if we don't post the information? You can't.

So please... just stop. It is 100% acceptable to post unverified information so long as it is labeled so, discussed as so, and not presented as facts.

You can't bust misinformation if you don't have the information to work with. 🙄

But there's no proof of this...and we cannot prosecute this based on rumors or the information that comes from crappy twitter accounts, cause otherwise we'll just get crazy.
We do know that separatists have attacked inside Russia. There is no doubt about that.

Yeah, we do have to be careful to make sure what is being reported is true. How many people fell for the Pentagon being attacked pic that made the rounds the other day?

We do have to see it to be able to refute it.

@Everyone the DWS allows members to post unconfirmed information or reports.

Just label it so in your post that it is unconfirmed this way others can work on confirming it too.

There's a difference between information and speculation IMHO. So sorry...I was just recalling this quote from RiffRaff...my goal is to provide verified or AT LEAST credible information

I am normally against any kind of censorship and I generally dislike deleting posts or banning people.

That being said, we cannot allow wild posters, doom mongers, and conspiracy theorists free reign on this site. Our goal is to provide accurate, verified information and non-partisan analysis of that information.
And the vast majority of what's being reported is obviously invented, completely hyped (not by the forum of course), in this whole story for the lack of verified sources and for the accounts from where it's actually coming.
In one of the posts above I've showed you that one of the tweets that come from one of the twitter accounts that usually recur here as "sources" contains a video which is not even compatible with the time frames of what's currently happening.

I've never said the contrary, i'm talking about the sizing of these events and the speculations over fantasy.

Also I have never said that these kind of information should not be discussed...what I said is that..."sources" like the guy above, should not find any space once they've been proven to be fud generators multiple times.
