To clarify, I am not necessarily arguing that one actor is coordinating every crisis through a single plan. The international security environment has entered an imminent risk condition marked by simultaneous escalation indicators across Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia. We cannot presently identify a single trigger, theater, actor, or coordinated operation. However, warning time appears compressed, political and military systems are operating with reduced strategic slack, and the probability of rapid escalation in one or more theaters is assessed as extremely elevated. IMHO.
What concerns me more is opportunistic convergence.
Multiple governments, armed groups, and criminal networks may independently see that America is distracted, Europe is divided, NATO is strained, and the international system has little remaining capacity. Each may decide that this is the best moment to advance its own objectives.
These crises do not need the same organizer to begin feeding into one another. Every new emergency consumes political attention, military capacity, intelligence resources, and diplomatic room.
A coordinated campaign usually has an architect, an objective, and someone capable of slowing or stopping it.
Opportunistic convergence has no central control.
Each actor may be making a rational decision within its own theater while collectively pushing the world toward an escalation nobody intended. Responses become triggers, miscalculations compound, and warning time collapses.
I am not claiming everything is connected by design. I am concerned it may be becoming connected through consequence and opportunity.
