But what seems to be the more likely outcome is a showdown between china and india over this. Very steady/heavy media campaign by India to blame China for Sri Lanka collapse. Then you have a pretty steady helping hand financially from china to Sri lanka as well including unpaid debt.

Which China may use the debt to force itself into Sri Lanka. In that case India will not sit by and allow China to gather a foot hold the other side of its borders.

China is struggling under it's own weight ontop of suffer mass civil unrest. So they may not get involved with Sri Lanka after all:
