Stock Markets Crash📉 Globally

Dow futures are little changed after index drops 1,100 points in 10th straight loss:
Stock futures were little changed Wednesday night as investors absorbed a new, sobering reality for financial markets. Trading was volatile after the regular session’s panic surrounding the Federal Reserve’s revised outlook for interest rates next year.
Stocks plunged Wednesday after the Federal Reserve struck a heavy blow to the roaring bull market, signaling that it was likely to only cut interest rates twice next year, down from the four reductions that had been penciled in during their last forecast in September. The central bank also trimmed its benchmark overnight borrowing rate a quarter percentage point Wednesday, to a target range of 4.25% to 4.5%, but the question now is what policymakers will do in 2025.

No rebound in site. This may be what we all been fearing. Futures are down as well.

VIX has dropped to 50% of last night's highs but seem to have settled around 20. Markets still volatile. US futures trading very slightly up, european futures very slightly down - but no major dip buying yet. 3-4% isn't a crash, that's just a slight correction. The huge highs make 1100pts seem a lot. I used to watch this daily years ago when the DJ was at 15,000. Couldn't believe it's now at 43,000 😮

Was no rebound today. Foreign markets continue to reach recession thresholds. America can only do very well if the global economy is doing well. The latter is not the case and is a continuous economic decline for rest or most of the world's economies.

Just saw this today. Another country to add to the ever growing list of nations economies we have links to sinking into recession or economic decline.

Imo only reason why US economy on papper hasn't shown decline like the rest of the world is because of our tech sector which is doing better then ever along with Bidens spending slushing the tech market like microchips and so on. But the tech sector alone won't be able to hold the market up forever. Even more so if Trump doesn't continue the economic stimulus Biden has been doing, particularly with the tech sector.

But allas it's just a opioun of my'n. Feel free to pick it apart.

Also looking at you Nivida pretty much propping up our market single handedly while the rest of the world slumps.

Lots of things can turn this around hard. Like a big war.

“A good, brisk killing <will> woke them from their torpid state”

The current financial system is broken. Thats the problem. There’s not many options when it comes to a reset of the American Dollar.

War is usually the fix-all for financial crises. We’ll see.

I’d be willing to agree with this. If Nvidia corrects, that’s the major signal for everything else to sell.

Everything is overvalued realistically… the economy only looks good because of the stock market. When the big correction happens (15-25%) in the next few (6) months, a lot of people are gonna get hosed.

Yea everyone saying Nivida will be recession safe/proof. But will see. Don't think anything can be really. But would like to see Nivida prove me wrong and make gains instead of losses durring a market correction.

The AI contracts NVIDIA has with the U.S. government *theoretically* would render that company recession-proof.

Look at what happened to vaccine companies and zoom during/before the pandemic. They mooned and then went to Saturn.

The same thing will happen with this next one, but there will be a market catalyst that begins it. (Hopefully not a Black Swan). Some companies will benefit, but most companies will get burned. Hard.
