This should be on the soundtrack:Two nuclear war movies in one night? Talk about glutton for punishment!
Why not add When The Wind Blows? Make it a marathon!
did see it on YouTube one stage but cannot find now."The Day After, " "" Threads," and "Letters from a Dead Man" are all very good nuclear war films, too. It's very hard to get "Letters" with English subtitles (it's from Russia) but sometimes a dvd will pop up on Amazon or Ebay. The first two are in English.
well that on it's self will be a gamble cause with out law there is barbarism and so rules wont apply to those who lived in them and now you have a mad max world or worse.Radiation will be the least of your issues once it is at safe levels. Population left is the real danger. Your supplies maybe shared more than you intended.
I remember being told by a character called Leonard Fraser that you could process a human carcass much like a feral pig. Described the various cut equivalents to a pig body. Was a creepy conversation. Turns out he was a serial killer who has since passed away in prison. Known to have murdered at least 5 women but probably many more. He would butcher his victims as if they were pigs for meat with all the victims found to be in multiple pieces. Glad I never accepted any of his home butchered chops.Radiation will be the least of your issues once it is at safe levels. Population left is the real danger. yep, long pig. Saw some of his chops and the flesh was a nice pale pink just like normal pork and that is what it smelt like when cooked. Have never been a fan of pork or bacon since then. Only recently have I been able to eat bacon again.Long pig
As a fireman @DEFCON Warning System did you ever have to prepare for CBRN incidents? Not a nuclear war film in the traditional sense, but in my opinion, a very accurate rendition of what a radiological terrorist attack would look like.
I remember seeing that a long time ago. I believe that was made shortly after 9/11. It still makes me shudder to think how unprepared we are for that type of event. I definitely know that our public health services will struggle to respond to a major radiological or biological attack in a major city. Not a nuclear war film in the traditional sense, but in my opinion, a very accurate rendition of what a radiological terrorist attack would look like.
No. We did not have the equipment necessary to deal with it. We'd block off the area according to Hazmat guidelines and let Nest or whoever deal with it.As a fireman @DEFCON Warning System did you ever have to prepare for CBRN incidents?
