️ Southwestern Japan braced for what officials say could be one of the strongest storms to ever hit the region, as some residents in the path of Typhoon Shanshan were ordered to evacuate and major firms like Toyota closed factories.
️Typhoon Shanshan churned toward the southwest of Japan on Wednesday afternoon, bringing torrential rainfall and dangerous winds. The authorities warned that wind speeds could strengthen and topple some homes.
Residents urged to take shelter as the Category Four typhoon, dumping 23.6 inches of rainfall in 24 hours, is forecast to rip through Japan's south west.
