The 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has successfully launched a counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region. They have managed to seize a significant portion of territory previously occupied by Russian forces, including several key defensive positions. This counterattack has been specifically designed to weaken the offensive capabilities of the 20th Russian Army, according to the brigade commander Colonel Andriy Biletsky.

German prosecutors open probe into drone flights over critical infrastructure:
BERLIN, Aug 22 (Reuters) - German prosecutors have opened an investigation into repeated drone flights over critical infrastructure in northern Germany on suspicion of espionage activity, a prosecutor said on Thursday.
The Flensburg public prosecutor's office has initiated a preliminary investigation on suspicion of "agent activity for sabotage purposes in connection with repeated drone flights," according to senior public prosecutor Bernd Winterfeldt. Winterfeldt said that he could not give further details on the investigation due to matters of state security.
The Bild newspaper, which first reported the investigation, cited an internal police report that said a no-fly zone over a nuclear power plant had been violated several times this month. According to Bild, authorities with the Schleswig-Holstein state criminal police agency assume that the so-far unidentified drones are Russian Orlan-10s, which have a range of 500 to 600 kilometres and can fly over 100 kilometres an hour.

Drone surveillance footage of a road in area of Korenevo - Kursk region.

Since the first several days i've heard mentions from Russian first responders UAV operators about roads and places plentiful of shot cars and civilians. Didn't had the footage to back it up, yet...

Kursk area has evacuated around 200k people. While officials reported that "situation is normal", locals were eager to escape the area themselves, without any given command - telling that "government ain't done shit to help them". Now i see why, as words spread around about what is going towards them - clear death, they'll spare no one. Refugees are getting help by volunteers aid and unofficial networks of funding, because no one will help the common people of Russia if they do not do that themselves.

Ukraine Launches New Offensive against Russian Forces

"The main task of the operation was to knock down the offensive potential of the 20th army of the Russian Federation. For the time being, this task has been accomplished," Colonel Andriy Biletskyi, commander of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, said in the Telegram post.
According to the Telegram post, Russia has lost 300 troops, "and a significant amount of equipment and weapons were destroyed or damaged" during the brigade's offensive operation in Kharkiv.
"The uniqueness of the operation was that we attacked a superior enemy and emerged victorious," Biletskyi said, crediting the success to planning, artillery, anti-aircraft defense and intelligence.

Biletskyi added, "But the heroes of the battlefield were tankers, sappers, scouts and, first of all, attack aircraft."
