On the eve of the talks between the President of the USA and the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the Russian Federation made a last attempt to prevent Ukraine from obtaining permission to strike with long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation.

At the request of the Russian Federation, the UN Security Council discussed the "supply of Western weapons to the Kyiv regime."

One of Gazprom's last major customers in the EU has announced that it will cease its decades-long purchase of Russian gas.

Austria's Wien Energie GmbH, which supplies gas to more than 2 million consumers in and around Vienna, will completely stop buying gas from Russia from 2025, Bloomberg reports, citing a statement from the company.

Instead of Gazprom gas, the company has negotiated supplies from North Africa and the North Sea and has also signed contracts with LNG exporters that cover 12 per cent of Austria's gas consumption.

"Due to Russia's aggressive war (against Ukraine), independence from Russian gas has become crucial for security of supply," commented Peter Hanke, head of the Austrian capital's economic office, on the decision.

All households, commercial consumers and power plants will purchase non-Russian gas from 2025". In future, Wien Energie will demand certificates from gas suppliers to prove that the gas does not come from Russia.

Poland is considering the possibility of transferring additional MiG-29s to Ukraine, Foreign Minister Sikorski said.

"We are considering the possibility of providing additional batches of equipment, including, possibly, MiG-29 aircraft," Sikorski said.

Warsaw could transfer these planes if partners helped them with equipment to protect Polish skies.

Exclusive: Russia produces kamikaze drone with Chinese engine
KYIV, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Russia started producing a new long-range attack drone called the Garpiya-A1 last year using Chinese engines and parts, which it has deployed in the war in Ukraine, according to two sources from a European intelligence agency and documents seen by Reuters.
The intelligence – which included a production contract for the new drone, company correspondence on the manufacturing process and financial documents - indicated that IEMZ Kupol, a subsidiary of Russian state-owned weapons maker Almaz-Antey, produced more than 2,500 Garpiyas from July 2023 to July 2024.
The existence of the new Russian drone incorporating Chinese technology has not been previously reported. IEMZ Kupol and Almaz-Antey did not respond to requests for comment.
The two intelligence sources said that the Garpiya, which means Harpy in Russian, has been deployed against military and civilian targets in Ukraine, causing damage to critical infrastructure as well as both civilian and military casualties.

Senior US Aide Says Fears Russian Strikes On Ukraine Nuclear Plants:
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Saturday said he feared potential Russian strikes on Ukrainian power plants.
"The Russians have proven completely brazen about their attacks on civilian energy infrastructure. They've taken shots at Ukraine's nuclear power plants before and I think we could see that again," Sullivan said at a forum in Kyiv.

Let them. They have plenty of NPP too

You can’t cower before a bully about what he might do. You need to plan to return the favor overtly and in spades, with the ability and the authority to do so already given to the theater commander.
