Anyway, Germany and France aren't to be trusted just like Russia. However, they will find themselves politically screwed so badly that the consequences of that are going to turn their neighbors actively hostile to them. Like Germany has been sleepwalking into this for decades of no military spending and France still thinks they can be friends in a Macron to Putin chat- its just not on Russia's books.
People have to come to a couple of hard realizations
We're already in a world war in terms of countries involved
The US may appear weak
Russia is actually weak
Ukraine ain't stopping
Russia will not be appeased
Militarily, economically and politically, this war has to end in Ukraine with an actual battlefield defeat of Russia, then people can consider 'playing nice' again, because even if you stall out Russia at the current state and there's a sue for peace that somehow goes through. That just means Russia takes the old tack of going asymmetric again with their usual BS of propaganda, assassination, coercion and poisoning the west with useful idiots for the rest of time. If they're not wiped out here, then it just never ends, we'll see them back in another 8-10yr messing around in someone's backyard like they've gotten used to.
Realistically, the UK, US and most of Eastern Europe have committed enough resources to help finish them off, but its still going to be a case of perseverance while Ukraine does the knife work. People have only really seen big countries dump all over little 3rd world countries for so long that we've more or less forgotten from living memory how long it takes to 'kill' industrialized nations on the battlefield. It just drags out for ages and there's no single bullet solution or peace until one side is done

On the report section, I would seriously doubt the validity of post #149. The reason I'm saying that is because with so many 'supposed dead bodies there, I didn't see a single fly on any of the 'bodies'.

I understand your reply. Still I'm not the only one who sees a different opinion to some here. And to be honest to another comment of yours . Yes I use min kota on my kayak and love sitting back with a lure or two .
catch a fish it's a bonus. No luck, relaxing beautiful day . some fish are easier than others.

Knowing my luck however it would become a rainy day and I would only catch a boot. There are as many opinions as there are choices. Worse thing where I live is that when fishing you have to be careful you don't become lunch for one of our snappy wildlife (salt water crocs)I understand your reply. Yes I had a dinghy 3 years ago when I travelled oz. Not silly enough to use it northern wa, Nt or Cairns- Townsville. To me it was the croc lure.
not worth the risk. Even if the locals did anyway.

Ok here it is. Nato are pouring in weapons globally into one country. Those weapons will take a minimum 12months or longer to replace inventory for those draining themselves to support Ukraine. Maybe just maybe European concern is justified about him advancing after Ukraine. Putin didn't have to tackle Europe country by country to drain its defence capacity and capabilities. Europe is voluntarily deminishing its weapons into one country. ok ok I'm just having some fun with some of you. Don't take it seriously.

You may as well be posting Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones if you believe anything from there. As far as your theory of NATO being scared, 2 facts dispute this
#1 Russia has resorted to using 1950's era tech because they are running out of modern hardware.
#2 Russia just passed a new law allowing (and encouraging) men up to 65 years old to join the ranks of the war.
No amount of emoticons can spin either of those things into something good...no matter how hard you try.

Until there are photos of destroyed/damaged T-62/T-55/T-54 from the front line - #1 is just a theory. To date I saw only one video with T-62, without "Z", "O", "V", etc. Even it's not a fake, T-62 can be used by the rear services/internal troops as better alternative of any IFV. Better armor, better gun. Old-fashioned projectiles, but still available in large quantities. I can be wrong, but Russian Internal Troops used T-62 in past, so they have trained crews.
#2: Russians need a lot of people for the rear services, to control territories, etc., without announcing full mobilization.

The great mistake that repeates itself each time, is to always consider Russia as the giant with feet of clay.
I find that almost incomprensible: each time, Russia is on the verge to collapse, each time, Russia is going to finish weapons, each time, the last division has been destroyed.
Each time, we come out of it with only a few broken bones.
Nevertheless, we do the same mistake over and over.

Actually, it's a little exagerated the "using 1950's" tech. Not only. Definitely, they are currently using almost soviet weapons, although modernized. They are using also moden weapon, as the so called "Terminator". However, the massive use of soviet weapons it is not a sign of weakeness. No one know how many soviet weapons Russia actually has beyond the urals, but they are much more than we think. Russia is an heavily armed Country and the enormous soviet stoks are perfectly suitable in order to make the current war. There are no reasons to not use them. Actually, it would be a waste.
Russian industries, are producing modern weapons. They aren't using them yet, probably because their use is just in case of confrontation against NATO.
Respect the point #2.
Actually, as I know, the law has removed the limit age to join the Army, that was 40. You can tell this fact from your point of view, as to say "Russia enlists the 65-year-olds! ah ah ah, they are dressed in rags.", considered that the the age of discharge is 65.
But you can also tell the question from an another point of view: this law has potentially almost the same effect of a partial mobilization. would you laugh if Russia had said that a partial mobilization has been made?

I agree, but if Medvedev has actually said that, the fact is in itself that he said that, is very serious: the message, even if not real, is very hostile and it comes from a very important member of the Russian state.
