Ukraine about to get some more scrap metal? Russia hasn’t learned its lesson yet that they won’t get Western Ukraine. They will though once Putin has killed off all his troops.

It goes without saying but if another front is opened up that close to NATO borders, an increase in the Defcon level will probably be warranted again. I still have my doubts that Belarus is that stupid but history keeps proving me wrong.

On 11 February 2020, the US Army announced the activation of corps headquarters (V Corps). V Corps Headquarters will have approximately 635 soldiers, with approximately 200 who will support an operational command post in Europe. The Corps Headquarters is projected to be operational by autumn 2020.

On 12 February 2020, the Army announced that V Corps' new headquarters would be located at Fort Knox Kentucky.

United States Army Chief of Staff, General James McConville stated:

"The activation of an additional Corps headquarters provides the needed level of command and control focused on synchronizing U.S. Army, allied, and partner nation tactical formations operating in Europe. It will enhance U.S. Army Europe and U.S. European Command as they work alongside allies and partners to promote regional stability and security."

NATO sends nuclear retaliation warning to Russia and China​

NATO is putting Russia and any other “nuclear-armed peer-competitors” on notice that the trans-Atlantic alliance can and will retaliate against any nuclear attack.
The latest edition of the security bloc’s guiding strategic concept evinces a more muscular posture regarding NATO’s nuclear forces than the 2010 document, which characterized Russia as a “partner” just four years before the Kremlin seized Crimea from Ukraine. And the latest document implies that as North Atlantic allies send a stronger signal about threats from Russia’s nuclear threats, they also won’t fail to keep an eye on China’s nuclear arsenal.
